Quail Valley Golf Course
About
Quail Valley Golf Course was opened for public play in May of 1994.
This championship links-style course is 30 minutes west of downtown Portland just off of HWY 26. The combination of a country setting and a meticulously maintained course will make your round comfortable and undisturbed by city noise. The flat open look may give you the impression that the course is easy to play. Think again. The confident golfer will be surprised at the many hazards throughout the course.
Several grass mounds and small trees line the fairways, but the main cause for caution is the water and sand. Fairway and green bunkers are everywhere and the stealth-like water hazards are well placed.

speed
I wish staff maintain t time gap between groups little more than eight minutes, I was playing with 4handicap Player and I am at 10 handicap. Still, my following group was too close , we were not too comfortable.
Great course
Booked a late tee time and finished 18 in 3.5 hours. Course was in good condition minus a couple soggy and uneven tee boxes. Will definitely come back to Quail valley.
Worth the drive
I was staying in Portland at the in-laws, so it was a good 40 minutes drive. I had played there last year, and the course was immaculate! This time, the course was a little drier and not as lush, but that's due to the drought they are having. Most of the outer edges were brown, but most of the playable areas were just fine: firm but green. Some of the greens had a few patches that were not in good condition, but overall, very puttable and true. We teed off immediately after a 9-hole shotgun had finished, so we had clear sailing in front of us the whole way. Played as a 4-some, and 1 of the guys was not good at all, so it took us a little longer to play than it should have. Still, we were done in under 4 hours!
I would definitely recommend this course to everyone of moderate skill and above.
Quail Valley
Green's were in great condition. Pretty good winds throughout the day.
Very nice course
It was my first time playing here and it is a very nice course. The sixth hole a par three over water offers a challenge.
Enjoyable Open Course
After several friends recommended playing this course, I finally got a 'deal' from Golf Now that was fairly attractive relative to my normal course I play. It was open, scenic, friendly and offered some challenging holes. With that said, the pace of play was a tad on the slow side and the fairways we not in the best of shape. On the flip side, the layout is nice and the people were very friendly. I'm not sure I'd play at the standard rate, but I will go back if a similar deal crosses my path.
Decent course
decent shape. Pace of play was horrible. Over 5 hours to finish 18.
Great course!
Always a friendly staff. Fun course in great shape. One of my Portland favorites.
Nice course in GREAT condition!
Thanks for the fun time playing as it had been 15 years since I played this course. It was a bit slow but the second nine cruised right along. Staff was super friendly and we were paired up with some good guys. Thanks!
value
first time playing great value for the money. course wide open for power fade(haha).very enjoyable played in 3 hours
Always a pleasure
Another great day at Quail Valley. Course was crowded but to be expected for a holiday. Nice folks and great golf!
Great course
Course was in great condition, pace of play was excellent, finished round in exactly four hours.
Best in west
This may be the nicest public course in the west of PDX. The fairways and greens are in good condition and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I cannot evaluate the food service as I've never used it, but it doesn't look like much. This place is all about being a great course. I will be back.
Good value
Course was nice but it was windy that afternoon so the score balloon and balls lost.
Great course
One of my favorite courses. No hassle at check in, very fast and easy. Love this course.
The Game
We had a tough time with the wind, would like to play it again, when their is little to no wind.. It was a great course to play , We had a awesome time despite the winds...
Enjoyable round of golf.
The pace of players was well l timed. We never felt rushed and we never have to wait for players before us.
Practice range, putting and chip shots spots were great.. Thank you.
nice course
course in nice condition and staff friendly as always
Great value!
Great course layout with bunkers and water hazards and four sets of tees to play from. It had rained the night before so the fairways and greens were a little slow. I played the course on a Sunday afternoon so I was expecting it to be pretty busy but the weather forecast called for possible thunderstorms which is probably why it wasn't very busy. The weather turned out great it only started to rain around 5:00 PM when I was finishing on 18.
