Quail Valley Golf Course
About
Quail Valley Golf Course was opened for public play in May of 1994.
This championship links-style course is 30 minutes west of downtown Portland just off of HWY 26. The combination of a country setting and a meticulously maintained course will make your round comfortable and undisturbed by city noise. The flat open look may give you the impression that the course is easy to play. Think again. The confident golfer will be surprised at the many hazards throughout the course.
Several grass mounds and small trees line the fairways, but the main cause for caution is the water and sand. Fairway and green bunkers are everywhere and the stealth-like water hazards are well placed.

Marshall's needed
Good course, fun layout, took 5 hours to play, no Marshall's in sight to keep pace of play going. Would not recommend for a decent golfer that likes to play in 4 hours.
Excellent Course
Went out March 25th at noon for 18. There is always a decent wind on this course. Course was squishy wet in some spots due to previous few days of rain but course was in excellent shape considering. One of my favorite courses to play in the metro area and one of the best quality vs. the price courses around.
Early morning golf
My buddy and I played on a very overcast and damp day early in the morning. For the weather conditions course was in great shape. Greens had been sanded earlier so ball picked up sand on greens which made for some interesting putts. Will be great in a week or so. We will be back. We were able to use cart on fairway and played fairly fast.
Good greens
Took the long drive from the Eastside to play this course. Had to wait out a down pour but it cleared and the greens drained quickly. Played as single and finished in 3hr. Understandably, the course was soft but the greens were putting nicely. An enjoyable round of golf and a great value off of golfnow.
Excellent Greens....
Played on a beautiful January day but it had rained a few days before so the course was very wet... which the clubhouse let us know before stepping on the course. We lost two plugged balls near the green. The great staff also said the greens were in great shape... and that was proved to be an understatement. The greens were awesome... fast and consistent. Pretty open course so not too much trouble to get into... definitely a course to shoot a good score at.
fun course, good value
The course was in as good a shape as the staff could get it into after a few days of heavy rain. The greens were immaculate, but the rest of the course was soft. The staff was very friendly. I will play here again but probably in a time when the course has time to dry out.
Fun
Course was a bit muddy, but pretty good forJanuary in Oregon. Staff was great, very helpful.
it's winter and it's open
Very soggy but playable. Greens were much faster than expected.
Telly nice course
Quail is a great golf course. I played on a wet and very soft day or I would've rated the conditions higher. The greens were spectacular. Very fast despite having a lot of rain. This place never disappoints The staff are very friendly and accommodating. A must play!
great course
Even in wet conditions course played well. Always have a great time at quail. Drains well, greens are challenging and true. Thanks for a great time
Excellent condition!
Course was in excellent condition for this time of year. Greens were great and rolled smooth! Will deffinetly be playing here again soon!
it is in preety good condition
I really enjoyed this course even tho it was a little wet on the fairways because of rain earlier then this day,
Golf course shape
The was still in repair from plugging the fairways and greens and not in its best shape.
Course needs work!
Played Quail Valley on a week day and GolfNow is the reason I would play there again. The greens were very slow and still bumpy after aeration a couple of weeks ago. The fairways need water and are in pretty bad shape. This course will improve when the rain comes, but for now, only GolfNow's great price makes it worthwhile.
Quail Valley
2nd time playing here. Played the Golds 6259/70.3/122 with 2 very nice guys from Washington in 4h, 15m on a Golf Now Hot Deal for $30 including cart. Low 70's, clear, very little wind, absolutely beautiful day to play golf.
Interesting layout, you start with a medium par 4 and then a short par 4 with water... then go par 5, par 3, par 5, par 3 and finish with three par 4's on the front. Some water and hazards to avoid, but pretty straight forward. The back nine is definitely the harder of the two nines in my opinion.
Definitely a shot makers course, several doglegs encourage you to turn the ball to get it in good positions to shoot @ a flag from a particular side of the fairway. Not a tight course, but it has a few very tight holes.
The greens were aerated 2 weeks ago and are healing nicely, but are still at least a week from putting well again. They were bumpy & medium slow.
Both the rough and fairways were nicely maintained and usually lush.
The sand was also well maintained.
The tees were generally good, but not of as high a quality as the rest of the course. The par 3's definitely needed some divot fixing attention by the course.
I liked the course layout and the customer service was a ++ from the pro shop to the snack bar. Cart gal was around several times. Very fun course!
enjoyable and open country feel
Well maintained course and facilities. Great setting.
Only negative would be I wish that you or they had published that the greens had been recently sanded and plugged. Very rough greens.
Great links course
Greens had just been aerated. Still a great course though.
setup for Collage Tournament
Course setup for day 2 of a collage tournament. Great
chance to play the full leanth of the course. Not easy
by any means.
