Mystic Golf Club

Staff was not friendly, more specific the course Marshal bothered us through the entire back nine. It gave our whole round a negative experience when it was not necessary at all. If you want people to come back to your course then get some marshals that do not bother customers through their round. I will not be returning for sometime due to this negative experience.

Course is in very poor condition. Faiways and greens in extrememly poor condition with dead spots everywhere. Taking Mystic off the rotation

I was very disappointed in the shape of the course Tee blocks muddy greens cut up and sand traps disgusting

Not sure why we didn't have any idea the course had aeration in tee blocks fairways and some greens?

Every course Golf North buys up ends up in terrible shape. This is no exception. Fairways, tee decks and greens all in awful shape. Won't be back.

Green are awful. Dead patches everywhere, no one fixes there pitch marks and very bumpy.

Fairways are dry and hard.

Not worth the $45 I paid (through golfnow). Can't imagine people paying full price.

Very disappointed how mystic (golfnorth) let's this happen to their course.

I always enjoy this course. Very scenic. The layout is beautiful if you don't mind lots of carries. It might not be good to go there if you are a beginner. For good golfers, there is something for everyone.

#10 is unforgettable - two carries. Tough but I enjoy it.

Some greens have some blight and due to recent heavy rains there are lots of ballmarks in the greens ....but we still really enjoyed the round.

This was my first time playing the course. I heard how challenging it was and thought I should give it a shot.. I am glad I did.. Excellent course to use all your clubs (this course is not for beginners).. Only wish that there were more distance markers on the course.. A number of the greens appeared to have some type of disease (a bit of a hurdle when you are looking for that perfect putt)... Overall I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a challenge (good luck with hole #10)...

What a gem that that not maintained! Greenskeeper needs to change pin location at least once a week and tractor tracks on all fairways is unbelievable! Staff is wonderful and design is world class...what a shame:(

Over the past 3 - 4 years this once wonderful course has been neglected. Poor greens, terrible bunkers and embarrassing tee boxes on the par threes. Will not return in the near future. Should be a premium course but is not worth is money or the drive.

I have played Mystic a number of times but not for about a couple of years. When I first played it about four years ago, it was a beautiful course. Great layout, a championship look and prestine conditions. However, the course conditions have been gradually deteriorating over the last few years. This past week the course condition was very poor. Damaged and ignored greens, tee boxes where it was difficult to find grass to place your tee into and essentially just dirt. I almost left after 9 holes. This has been a dry summer but other courses I have played have been taken care of. Very disappointed to see such a wonderful layout neglected. No longer worth the drive and I cannot justify returning. Should have been a premier course but is no longer.

Pretty sad when a premier course like Mystic is in such rough shape. I know it's been a dry summer, but for $80 per round you would think the greens would be immaculate...not the case. The greens were pathetic! Won't be back this season. Sorry.

We had a great time and round, the pace started off really slow but on the 3 hole the group ahead of us let us through and we sailed through. The greens are in rough shape but it has been a dry summer. The ups and downs and valley's to cross over are so challenging. We loved it so much we are playing again Aug 14th. I would recommend this course for sure

Got a nice deal on a great course. Hot as Hades when we played but refreshments were always close by. You have to play this course several times to truly appreciate it and know its nuances (eg. hole #2 yardage marker stick ?) Considering the drought our area has been in, the course was in excellent condition. Definitely be back!

A true golfers course not for the faint of heart If you cant carry the ball 200 to 220 yds off the tee this is not the course for you...and will leave a bad taste in your mouth...lots of long carries off the tee over rough gorges and water....they do not have a clubhouse ...a big trailer ..but probably the best hot dog Ive had at a course this year ( its all about the garnishes) in my top 3 always looking for a deal as a single in golf now ...have golfed with alot of terrific folks there...

Pace of play was slow. People behind us lost patience and dropped ball on us twice. Recommendation is to have the groups spaced out with some fair rooms

Golf course is well laid out with a very interesting mix of holes. Some long carries off the tee and lack of knowledge of the course made play challenging. Greens had been aerated in the last 10 days (according to the starter) and still showed signs of the aeration. As well, there were too many greens with much too thin grass and bare spots. Bunkers were a mix of dry dirt (sand?) and weeds. One, at least, was partially filled with water; most were unplayable.

I know that there have been very challenging climatic conditions this summer, if other courses can keep up their greens, why not Mystic?

Have been to Mystic many times over the past several years and considering the price of the course I have always been disappointed with certain aspects of the course. The bunkers have been in poor condition for the past several years and with the recent drought there are many dead patches on the greens. Today I was very disappointed with the service I received. I've taken my spouse with me golfing many times as a spectator and today I I wanted to bring her to Mystic. Unfortunately she would not admitted to the course unless she paid full price and they refused to offer any other options. Any time she has come with me I've only been charged the cart fee. The manager refused to work something out with us and I decided to take my business elsewhere. We went to the course right down the street and the experience was fantastic. Last time I visit Mystic golf club considering the poor service and poor course conditions.

It started with breakfast or the lack of it. Probably our fault for not asking if they served breakfast but how many courses don't serve breakfast?

As for the course design. Way too many forced carries. I'm all in favour of risk/reward opportunities, but you've got to give the player the option to play safe shots. One or two holes with forced carries and no safe outs might be acceptable, but this course had I believe 4 in the first four holes. More came later.

Greens were okay. Fairways poor to good but we can give them a pass because of the lack of rain. Bunkers were poor at best, suffering from a lack of sand and maintenance. Some were just unplayable but only one contained a ground under repair sign.

A Saturday afternoon in perfect but warm conditions and we didn't see the beverage cart until the 12th hole and that was the only time it came by.

Before we even finished the round my buddy and I looked at each other and said that we can cross Mystic off the list. We won't be back.
