Mystic Golf Club

Wonderful day very nice course condition.

I recommend this course strongly to everyone who loves playing golf for fun.

Mystic is a course that had a good initial idea but then ran out of money. The current owners - Golf North - have not put any money into it since the acquisition and it shows. The "club house" is a trailer.

The course itself is possibly the worst designed course in the area. Many holes have absolutely no visual clues to guide you. The ninth hole is a complete mystery. The tenth is a complete joke with three shots required to reach a position where you can even see the green.

The course condition when we played was a disgrace. Some fairways were as long as the rough and the greens had not been cut in days.

There are many other courses in the area that are superior at better pricing.

They do not allow walking.

its a very good future pga course.it wiil train you to be very consistent and especially in tour short game.

Due to frost, tee times were backed up. When we arrived for a 12:36 tee time, we were told that we would be delayed 1 - 1 1/2 hours by the pro shop. They handed us the cart key then took it back, saying they would give it to us closer to when we could go out. When we got the key at 12:45 we asked how long it would be before we went out and the pro shop personnel couldn't tell us - asked us to check with the starter. Shouldn't they be communicating? When we got to the starter, we were told we were up and that was 1:00 - a far cry from the delay we were told to expect. Unfortunately, the personnel in the pro shop showed a "condescending attitude" from the minute we walked in, including assuming we knew that they had a frost delay. How could we know that? There was no frost in our home location. Unfortunately, the way we were treated at the pro shop will definitely impact our return to this course, as well as making our round less enjoyable than it could have been. And the club only has portable toilets at the pro shop - one for men and one for women!

Mystic has several downright quirky holes and many forced carries which make it a challenge. It's like a Muskoka course without the bare rock. If you enjoy that sort of course you will like Mystic. Many holes cross steep-sided ravines and have heaving fairways.

It's been a few years since I've played Mystic and this round made me remember why I miss it so.
Outstanding degree of difficulty(play the proper T's or you will be beat up), conditioning excellent - new bunker sand and some changes to holes to help speed up play, excellent greens(not fast but true), and a course that moves like a symphony.
The price for this course is so good for what you get - I play alot of golf and this is in my Top 10 in the Province. You won't be sorry .

There was a delay in tee off of 20 minutes. There was no starter. The course is absolutely amazing. The holes are breathtakingly beautiful. Could not play the back 9 due to aeration.

The course was just beautiful. Challenging holes abound. Tough shots into greens unless ball is placed perfectly, even then not easy but fair.

Forced carries throughout the course. Fairways and greens in great condition. Definitely a riding course though.

Only negative comment was quality of bunkers, both fairway and green side. Need to replace the sand. It was of poor quality and littered with rocks and pebbles.

This quickly became my favorite place to play. Has an excellent layout that provides a challenge to the golfer while having some great views.

Great track! Very difficult but fair. Great layout. Lots of risk reward. I'll be back.

This was my group's first round at Mystic and we enjoyed it. We were a bit frustrated after the first hole because we were told to hit it on the left but that was the wrong advise. Otherwise, it was quite challenging and each hole was unique. You have to be prepared to be accurate to play this course because you can get in trouble pretty easily. Luckily our group managed to limit our ball losses to only a handful for the four us combined.

Course in great shape. Greens running true but not overly fast. Held our company tournament here two days later. Everything was in perfect shape and the staff and dinner were wonderful. 100 golfers played in under 5 hours.

Great layout, good condition, very tough golf course not for the high handicapper!

Not overly long from the whites (silvers) but lots of carries over fescues. Need to be straight. Well positioned bunkers although the sand was inconsistent. Need a cart with lots of hills. I think you would score better the second time you play as you would know where the bailouts and lay ups should be.

5 hour 10 minutes to paly, no marshal to be found, hot day no water no cart girl. would not go back

Mystic is probably one of the most unique layouts I have played and I have played a lot. If you spray the ball you will have trouble here because theres not much to give on either side, for the exception of a few holes that go back and forth. Greens were tough and some pins were actually unfair (prob 4 holes were on slopes). Play the Golds and you will have a few forced carrys over 230yds off tee. # 10 is different and 5 is a good score. I will definitely be back for the course but the customer service not so much. I understand not being able to bring your own alcohol on the course but it was 95' out and saw the cart girl 1 time in 4 1/2 hours.

Wow!!! Worst clubhouse/ facilities but I still rate this golf course 4 star. The golf course more than makes up for it.

Course was in great condition. Pace of play was faster than it usually is, which was nice. There's a usual bottle-neck on the second tee because it's a reachable par 4 for some big hitters.

The course is very challenging to play, but so much fun to play. It's the only course around where I could shoot 90 and still walk away smiling. At $50 for a round with a cart, it's worth every penny.

Don't be a Big Macho boy and you will injoy your game Mucho better .Play correct tees.

CART WAS ALREADY PAID FOR..STAFF WAS ARROGANT AND VERY RUDE EVAN TELLING ME TO F MYSELF....BUT BOTTOM LINE COURSE IS IN ROUGH SHAPE ESPECIALLY GREENS....DON T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE THERE ARE WAY BETTER COURSES IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA TO PLAY AT WITH BETTER PEOPLE AND PRICING
