After reviewing your booking you were charged correctly for the Family Day promotion. The kids play golf free promotion covers the kids round of golf only. If you were able to walk the course that you are using the promotion at (GolfNorth offers many courses you are able to walk) then your child would not be charged. If you decided to ride at the same course where walking is an option, you would be charged a half cart fee ($18) for your child. Mystic is a cart mandatory course, therefore you child is required to pay the cart fee of $18 for their round. Your booking on GolfNow included cart but only for yourself. Every cart fee is broken down per person, or per seat in the cart, this way everyone is charged equally for their cart fee, unless they have a membership where they have previously paid for one of the cart package options.
Hopefully this helps you better understand how the fees are broken down for your next visit to Mystic Golf Club.

Here is the link to the promotion on the GolfNorth website (http://d5mj6gzk40btv.cloudfront.net/files/2014/07/GN-2015-Family-Fun-Days.png?fcdn=JgJ8437w). As mentioned on the flyer, one junior green fee is included with the purchase of an adult green fee and unfortunately cart is not included as part of this promotion.

Not worth the drive nor the money

This is a challenging course for the most experienced golfer. There are too many forced carries from the tee and I was bored with the course after the 5th hole, too much of the same. My foursome golfed on a very hot day and saw the beverage cart at the beginning of the round and at the 11th hole. Unacceptable in my view. When complained to the staff, they brushed me off, very unprofessional in my view. Also, there was no staff to speak of at the bag drop. We had to load our golf carts ourselves. The course is not worth the money nor the drive to and from.

As for the course itself, the course condition was very good however, the greens were very slow. The sand bunkers were iffy at best. Sometimes there was sand and sometimes not. For the quality of the course, I feel that the ball should roll more than a seven on the stimpmeter. Overall, I was very unimpressed with the course and the treatment we received.

Choose your tee's wisely!

Beautiful and unique course. As other's have stated, playing the correct tee box for your skill level is important. Many of the holes have forced carries over thick rough right off the tee box, and if you don't connect, prepare to lose a lot of balls. Would play here again once my game has improved.

Good course

Course was in great shape. Would love to see Golfnorth put more effort into marshalling the golf course to keep things moving and also educate their starters on personality and etiquette. Overall good value for the rate we paid.

poor customer service

We booked a pair of people to go out. When we arrived at the course, we had a third that wanted to join. We were told on arrival that out t-time had been bumped and that our third person would have to play with the group ahead of us. I understand not being able to fit the third person in, but the gentleman at the counter was short with us and very rude. He told us they were trying to squeeze everyone in "to make as much money as possible" Couldn't he have just said it was for the pace of play? Very unaccommodating, very rude, will not return. We went down the street to Flamborough hills, had a fantastic round, and the staff was friendly and helpful. (3 frequent golfers with over 25 rounds booked on golf now this year each)

Great Course With a Couple of Issues

We really enjoyed this course. It was challenging without being unforgiving. The main issues we had were with the pace of play. We started at 3:00 on a Sunday and it took 5 hours with riding. We were constantly being pushed up against the group in front of us, and they were pushed up to the group in front of them. It seems as if a foursome missed their earlier tee time and were allowed to be squeezed in shortly before us. While these things happen, what was extremely frustrating was that the marshal continually came up and told us that we were holding everyone up. This was not the case.

The course also has a strict no outside beverage policy in place. This is communicated by numerous signs around the clubhouse and by the starter. While this is acceptable, the fact that we did not see the drink cart for our entire front nine is not. When playing in 30+ degree weather drinks are a necessity.

All in all, we would play again, but expect to be thirsty and on the course for five hours.

Bunkers need help

Great course but the bunkers are very inconsistent. Some are fluffy sand and others hard pan. Not what you would expect of a course of this caliber

Good but...

what does it take to put some sand in traps and rake them. If you're going to charge top dollar, treat the course like it's a top dollar course. Greens use to be a little faster but still decent speed. Time to bulldoze number 10 and create a decent golf hole.

Terrific Course but they need to recognize Junior Golfers

We loved playing this course. It has so many different types of holes and options on many of it's holes. We thoroughly enjoyed the round. Play from the right tees because it will make a difference. The greens were fair but challenging. The course conditions were terrific. When I am back in the area, I will certainly play there. The clubhouse facility is lacking but they will get there. The pro shop staff where not the most friendliest. The only draw back is that they do not have any junior rates at any time. They need to help build the game.

Really Nice but....

Excellent condition, however a yardage book is absolutely necessary. Wish they had one. Many blind shots off the tee as well on approaches. lots of trouble and since I didn't know I found lots.

too much deep grass close to greens

this is a good course in excellent condition. my only complaint is that there are large areas of non maintained "hazards" and deep fescue too close to the greens. this causes slow play while people look for their balls. if it was water it would not slow play, but since everyone thinks they will find their ball, it slows play.

Great shape!

We almost cancelled the round because of rain and thunder for the majority of the day. We teed off at 4pm and it had stopped raining (heavily) around 3. With the exemption of a very few damp spots it was almost like it hadn't rained at all. The greens were very fast and challenging and the course was in pristine shape. It is one of the more difficult courses I play but always brings me back for the beauty and challenge. Wish i could play it daily.
