always great
Course in great shape.Greens well taken care of.Starters very friendly.
best bang for your buck
Mystic is a beautiful course with an amazing layout and some very challenging holes. I've been here many times and will continue to come here especially for the great value you get.
Some of the bunkers could use some new sand and I think it's time they start thinking about building a new clubhouse.
A Must PLay
I had played this course in the past , and it is still one of the most challenging courses I have played. Good shot making and club selection are a must as well you will need almost every club in your bag.Course in in excellent shape , bunkers could use some attention though.
Great Ravines
Hardest course I have played in Ontario above Glen Abbey,Angus Glen, bondhead or devils pulpit wonderful Time
Nice but tough
This course is not for a 20 handicap golfer.
Too many forces carries.
It helped that I was paired with a golfer familiar with the Course. Quite a few sand bunkers were full of water.
Excellent
Excellent course, very challenging. A lot of bends in the holes, some par 5s with multiple fairways. Very well situated and fast greens.
A must play course
Awesome Golf Course
This is a great layout and great conditioned course. Hit it straight or you'll find lots of trouble and recovery shots. Even though the tee times were running late and the round was 5 hours, I enjoyed this course for the first time and will go back again and remember what shots I'd like to make changes to. Fairways and tees were good and the greens were great with good speed. I will definitely go back again more than once.
Unknown gem
Very challenging course. There are some difficult carries to negotiate, from any of the tee boxes. The tenth is the craziest, even with a good drive, you are laying up on your 2nd before the hazard (which you cross 3 times on the hole) unless you can carry 280 with a 3 wood! It plays like a par 6.
Mystic Golf Club
This course is in amazing condition again this year. One of my favourite local courses to play. Don't let the clubhouse fool you - it's a top notch course. Fairways, greens, tee boxes all in great shape! Highly recommend playing here!
chanllenging especially #10
excellent course, good condition, greens were a little rough and on slower side today.
NO> 10 hole is too challenging with 4 forced carries. Otherwise a scenic, challenging course.
Beverage lady didn't come by as often as I would have liked, however.
Would play again at the right price.
Very Enjoyable
Really enjoyed my round. Good shots are rewarded. Lots of tees for everyone to play.
Mystic round
We had a nice round except there was a rain storm the night before and there was zero conditioning of the bunkers that we're not full if water so they were like concrete and near impossible to play out of. Further more we could not tee off one time in 18 holes without waiting for the groups in front , up to 10 minutes and the ranger never tried to move play along. It should not take 5 hours and 15 minutes to play golf. Thanks
Very Challenging
This course is in its best condition and the greens are very consistent. Make sure you bring your A game and have a great day.
You must play this course to appreciate the great value.
Not for the average golfer
The golf holes are too challenging for the average golfer.
Great golf course
This course has it all to test your golf game, great layout!
Playing the Right Tees
Played Mystic on Friday August 29th, 2014 with a buddy. We played the GOLD Tees which was right for us but got paired up with two guys - same ability who insisted on playing the BLACKS (TIPS) - play the proper tees - it makes things more enjoyable for everyone in the group - good players move up, don't have the lesser player move back.
Nice course, couple of local knowledge issues but we do plan on going back.
I always enjoy playing this course.
Intimidating off the tees. Will always make you think standing there with forced carries staring right back at you. But drive well and you'll certainly enjoy your round. The lay out can also make it think with bunker protected greens.
You normally don't get this kind of golf for the fee they charge.
It's an "out there" experience
I've played Mystic since its inaugural year. It was designed by Jack Nicklaus' lead designer Tom Pearson. It was designed to host an Open. So that says something about its difficulty rating. While Mystic takes a bad rap by the wend warrior of hack and wack skills, for its challenging design, it should at least be embraced for its 'mystical' experience of "out there" proportion. From the moment you step onto the first tee, there is nothing but a well manicured golf environment to stroke your ego 'fore' the next 4.5 hours. I am never in a hurry to leave a golf course course - this one especially! What a pristine environment. What a magnificent design incorporated into the natural landscape. I shot at least 10 strokes over my ambiguous handicap and thoroughly enjoyed my day of golf with my buddies. Can't wait fore my next out there experience at Mystic!
Love this tract
Every hole is new adventure, never gets old. Not designed for high handicappers, but exciting for mid handicaps.
challenging course
The course was in excellent condition. The course requires you to really know the yardages you hit your clubs because a lot of the holes have landing areas that if you do not land in will place you either a bunker, thick rough, fescue or the woods.
