Golfer Reviews
#10 is the widow maker!!
Had a great round at Mystic. Friendly staff and the course was in great shape. For the first time golfer to this course beware. Plenty of brush and blind shots and bunkers to spare. #10 is 593 yards but has a fairway that breaks 3 times with large brush areas. The starter even told us they call it the par 6! All in all certainly challenges the golfer unlike certain other Golf North properties.
Very challenging
Course is in excellent shape. A must play if you like target golf. Greens roll true and fast.
sparx
Always a great place to play golf, I wouldn't recommend it to any one less then a fifteen handicap. The carries on a couple of the holes are to far and the trouble when you are in it is difficult to get out of. Beautiful golf course for some one who plays at a 15 or below, great views, greens are in great condition considering the winter we had, pace of play is hit and miss because of the difficulty of the course but normally you are 4 to 4.5 hrs. The value is incredible, if this golf course was in a well populated area it is 200 hundred dollars all day and still worth it. They don't have a great club house so food is regular cart fare but if your there for the golf it will easily overshadow the lack of amenities.
Had a great day!
I had a friend come to town for a marathon of golfing and took him to Mystic. Had a great day and it was a quick round for a mid week morning. It is a challenging track and the only reason that I don't rate the overall score excellent is because of a couple of "gimmick" holes that are not well defined. Once you play here a couple times then that is not so bad.
They really need a club house!
Glad I found this course
Awesome experience. Great layout Bring your sky caddie, or guess your landing area and make big numbers. Very slow but does not feel it because lots of thinking and beautiful scenery. Top notch course!
Good golf course, not many amenities
A nice course, well conditioned, excellent staff but hasn't advanced it's amenities over the years since opening. It's tough to call it a premium course (Diamond Plus) when they're still using a trailer for washroom facilities.
That being said it's a good course, range & pace of play are good. Go for the golf & not "an experience" & enjoy the day.
great deal
It's great to still find a deal on high end courses. The practise range was excellent as well as the course. I will definitely play Mystic again.
Very nice tract
This is a very challenging golf course. It shows you 18 different holes.
The only drawback is the bunker in the middle of the fairway on the 9th hole.
It makes a difficult hole ridiculously difficult and penalizes you for a good drive.
Fill it in
A real gem
I should have bought the yardage book. Some parts of the course require some local knowledge.
The sand was the only part of the course that I found to be lackluster.
Great layout!
Good course
Good value for your money despite on the inconsistency in quality of the send bankers on the course
Great course for players who know how too golf
If your golf skills are below Ave please stay away from this course. We had a foursome looking for balls every other shot and lagged are game.
Overall the course is a great place to increase your skills and improve your game.
Not for newbies or people who can't carry 10 yards.
Great challenging course!!!
Loved this course and will definitely return! We didn't see "beverage cart" thru entire 18 but perhaps this was because it was twilight. An ports-potty or two strategically placed for when not near clubhouse would be great!
mystic
bring lots of balls, as you will lose them in the back nine! Probably the hardest back nine I have played in years, lots of force carries, go from the tee deck they tell you to. We went from the golds and in the back nine silvers. pace of play was slow, too many players spending too much time looking for lost balls. 5 hours! price was right!
Could be better
Played as 4 some on July 11, 2014. Had to quite after 4..25 hours and only completed 14 holes. Tons of marshals on the coursse but none dealing with pace. course is nice and difficult but managable. Bunkers need to be way better. Had not rained in 2 days and standing water in bunker, and sand more like gravel, not light and fluffy.
WOW WOW WOW
Course makes King's Forest look like a pitch and putt!! What a completely out of this world layout. Minutes from the city but you'll feel like you're hours up north. Best kept secret in southern Ontario. i play off an Index 4 and my daughter plays off 2 so trust us on this review. Now downside, Marshalls are miserable. Hovering over us like we're a couple of criminals??? Spend $120.00 and feel uncomfortable on the track???? Please.
Pro shop staff top notch!!!!!!!!!
Intimidating but good course
They obviously have dropped their green fees, which seems to work all right becuz there was a little back-up. This course is famous for those "death valleys" or "black holes" located here and there, which is why it's rated as "one of the toughest courses" in Canada. You don't have to be a slugger to play here, though. Don't look down, just keep your rhythm, and you can enjoy a very unique round.
Mystic
Excellent course. Great condition. The only negative is that they need a better club house
