Golfer Reviews
tough course
Choose your T blocks carefully! Holes 9 and 10 toughest consecutive holes ever played. Lots of forced carries. A mid 140's slope rating not for the short hitter.
The layout is great...a test of some accurate shot making!!
The course was in great shape...my only negative observation was some bunkers needed a little work. The greens were quick but rolled true. After hurting my shoulder on six, I struggled to finish nine but I was playing with a couple of members that were giving me the tour of the course so i ventured on through the back nine. These kind gentleman gave me the game plan for each hole with the risk and reward for each shot on each hole. Local knowledge is needed to plan your way around this gem. I will be back after I heal.
Not Worth The Drive to Acton
Playing this course once is a mistake.
Playing it again is stupid.
Too many blind shots. Too many 200 yard carries.
The bunkers are unplayable.
Gorgeous Course
Great layout, with every hole giving you a different look from the tee box. Par 3's are the only average part of the track, but they came in handy when trying to rescue the score.....
Can't wait to get back
I didn't know what to expect when I arrived as I had not played the course before so to find such a treasure and be amazed as each hole presented itself was a truly wonderful experience, The cost was more than reasonable and the staff was most accommodating. I will definitely be back once I recover from the beating this beautiful lady laid on me.
Great deal on golf now allows me to play courses I couldn't normally afford
Course is in very good shape. Tees and fairways are very well kept. Some of the holes extremely challenging but lots of fun. Greens fast but not unfair, keep it in play and you will score. Can't wait to go back. Should have 4 1/2 stars.
This course was in pristine condition. Very challenging first time out but has 5 tee blocks to suite all levels.
It is a short drive from Hamilton. 14 minutes from King St. West at Dundurn St. Ample parking and a bag drop area. The green fees included a small bucket of balls to loosen up with. Fantastic. The course itself was in immaculate condition. Fairways tightly cut, rough neatly cut and the greens roll true and and fast and do not break much at all. Cart paths were all paved and in better shape than most roads. The starter at #1 helped a great deal off the first tee with yardages and a few tips. He also met us at the 639 yard Monster # 10. Great advice again with club selection and yardage. The course is definitely a challenge for the average golfer. Well placed bunkers through out the course, a little hard packed, though I think it was likely due to the storm a few days earlier. Can't wait to play a second round. This course has been around since 2005 but a little unknown.... NOT FOR LONG!!
would play here again and again!!!!
If you want a course that will challenge you and make you go a little crazy this place is for you. Its all about putting the ball in the right spots. I f you want to just grip and rip go somewhere else. Greens are fast love it
