Settlers' Ghost Golf Club
About
Settler’s Ghost Golf Club is located just outside of Barrie on what was formerly an important Huron Indian settlement. The golf course is an homage to the former inhabitants of the land, including the Huron Indians and emigrants from the British Isles. The golf course was built to maintain the historical integrity and scenic features of the rustic, rolling landscape. The dramatic elevations throughout the course offer stunning panoramic views of the Niagara Escarpment and the Georgian Bay. Settler’s Ghost Golf Club is relatively short at 6,311 yards from the back tees, but there are still some lengthy shots that will appeal to long hitters, including the par-5 eighth, which stretches to 539 yards.

Great Canada Day!
Played this course with a friend of mine from out west. This course is very similar to the ones we grew up playing on the prairies. The Starter was very informative and mentioned to avoid hitting the ball left, I ended up doing just that!
The course was in great shape, fairways were fresh and the greens rolled true. On course staff were friendly and inviting. The clubhouse, pro shop, and range were very basic, but it was fine with me. I came for the course experience.
Overall, Settler’s Ghost is great value for the price of $89 for two golfers.
great day, great course
The course was in great shape and the greens were lighting fast
A lot of blind shot on this course but the course is in great shape sorry to see the old bar is gone
Great Experience, pretty course
Course in excellent condition, great fun. Enjoyable dinner afterward on the patio.
Great course. Terrible marshall
Course is in amazing condition but pace of ay was very slow. Told marshall to ask people ahead of us to play faster and was told that they were fine after taking 15 minutes to find their ball in the bush. Would recommend this course on a non busy day avoid at all cost on weekends as it will take hours longer to play.
The course is in great shape, the greens are quite a challenge to read because of the hills.
After a lot of rain the course was in great shape. Was disappointed I had to pay admin fees after I thought I bought the overpriced membership that use to be free when it was last minute golfer. Asked for a manager to call me back but I guess long term member don’t matter to the golf channel if you don't pay for it. They are in Florida where it rarely snows.
Solid
Great day at Settlers Ghost
Course is shaping up nicely, 3 cuts leading to well kept greens
Pace of play was great
Will return hoping for a similar experience
Settlers ghost
Great time as always at Settlers . Course is in fine shape and let’s you use all your skills . Rolling fairways and great views combine to make this course an awesome value . Highly recommended!!
Great but flawed.
Great course in good condition with very good challenges. Grounds crew doesn’t seem concerned that you’re their customer. The consumer pays decent money to play through maintenance employees all round. They completely ignore you when you’re about to tee off.
Interesting holes and well maintained
Settlers Ghost is in excellent condition and the holes are varied, undulating and interesting.
