About
The Classic Golf Club in Spanaway sprawls across rolling hills blanketed with towering Douglas firs. Located just 30 minutes south of Tacoma, it is one of the area's hidden gems, offering not only a beautiful natural setting but also a challenging round. The layout features elevated greens, tree-lined fairways, and ponds and wetlands that come into play on several holes. The greens are the most challenging element of the golf course. Some are small, which is tough enough to maneuver as it is, and most are framed by mounding. Sand bunkers also provide contrast against the smooth and fast-rolling greens. The Classic is a challenging course but still playable for all skill levels.

Golfer Reviews
No Clubhouse or amenities. 18 hole a gimmic. Good shape, but not worth more than $35.
Good Layout. Fast greens, rolled pretty good considering they were recently punched and sanded. No driving range is a drawback.
Another year, same crap conditions
I play once a year just hoping for positive changes. The good news, Neil is great and so are the greens. That’s pretty much it, it looks rundown, almost like a sale is imminent.
Punched greens - no notification
Sure wish Teeoff would tell us when the greens were just punched. Putting was an adventure today
Hidden gem
This may have been only course on this day, where you could 90 degree your cart onto fairway.Drainage is amazing, and greens near perfect.
love the course, someone needs to let golfers know they need to keep up with the group in front of them. also don’t try and get one more hole in to beat the darkness, i did that and upon returning to my car at 8pm i found they had locked the gate on me!! i couldn’t believe it, luckily there was a big enough gap in the fence leading into a new development that i could get out. but who locks the gate when clearly theres still someone there?!?!
Family Fun Course
The course is challenging but fair with narrow fairways and fast greens. The Marshall was out trying to encourage pace of play. The only two cons are: the price I would expect to pay those prices for a much better course. #2 There is no driving range for warming up.
