Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 2018 and transformed into Disc Golf Course.
Kayak Point Golf Club is one of Washington's most popular courses. It was named one of the "Top 50 Public Courses to Play" by Golf Digest, and the Seattle Times called it a "must play" course. Located in Stanwood, Kayak Point is less than an hour north of Seattle. The layout was carefully carved from an old growth forest of firs and cedars. You'll enjoy scenic views of the Olympic Mountains on several holes. The layout will test you with sloping fairways and large, immaculately manicured greens. There are more than 30 greenside bunkers at Kayak Point, but water comes into play on only two holes. The spacious golf course doesn't have any parallel fairways and it's not short on length at over 6,700 yards from the back tees.

.
Accuracy is a must, this is a challenging, long golf course. Considering the time of year, it was in great shape with no standing water. Staff is always friendly and happy to see you.
this course is very good !
lots of challenging ups and downs on this course !
Great golf course. Well maintained and challenging. You'll use all your clubs here
Very happy that course conditions have continued to improve the last couple of years. It's back to it's old glory from 6 to 8 years ago.
good course overall but somewhat penalizing for good shots due to the slope, right and left, around many ravines and bumpy fairways.
Greens are in pretty good shape but lots of flotsome from trees, it is fall after all. The fairways are thin but acceptable although I think too potholed, you can put a ball in the middle and end up in a depression with 2 inches of grass where the mower cannot reach. Driving is critical and must be well placed to access the greens but do not need to be long for the average golfer playing from the whites or even the blacks. Traps are awful this time of year due to the wetness of the northwest, you may as well be hitting off compact dirt. The staff of the course are friendly but I found the wait staff in the cafe to be uninterested in serving and short, they seemed bored and did not want to be there. My wife and I were paired up with another couple about our age but nowhere near our skill level, that resulted in a longer round and somewhat exasperating at times. Just because we looked to be about the same age I guess.
Even in the rain I love this course
I have played at this course 3 times and I love it (even in the rain).
The course is challenging yet fun. It has a lot of hills which in wet weather can be a little heavy due to lack of drainage but the scenery is so beautiful I totally ignore it. In the Summer this place is the bomb.
The staff are very friendly staff, in fact on my 3rd visit they recognised me and had a very friendly chat and gave me some hints and tips on the course because of the bad weather. They also told me about their new membership drive and lessons if I fancied improving my game which I may well take them up on.
The food is good I would recommend the fish and chips, the sandwiches and wraps.
The carts are a little old no GPS screens here but again I don't care.
Take a chance and check out this challenging and beautiful course.
Great Course!
Great course to play, challenging but fun also. Walking is a pain in the butt though. I will want to ride next time, greens were top notch And the 10th is a great hole to start the back half.
Great surroundings
It was a great day of golf with a dad and his three sons. Playing behind a slow foursome caused the round to last past five hours. The course was beautiful and worth the trip around it.
Course Beauty
Beautiful golf course on great condition but pace was slow playing on a Saturday in August. It took a little over 5 hours to play.
I really like this course and it is one of my favorites.
This is a beautiful course and requires good ball placement. Other than taking 5 hours to play, my main complaint are the T-Boxes.
On many holes you just cannot find a level spot to hit your t-shot.
You were either standing above or below your ball. On one par 3 the entire t-box slanted up uphill significantly!
The kids at pro shop did not care
We started at our prepaid tee off, actually about 20 mins behind schedule and were being hit into from the group behind almost every hole! whe we got to the 10 Tee box, found out that not only was the staff and some kid who called himself the asst pga pro, were letting people tee off on the tenth and did not care that when we arrived there was over 4 groups waiting on the 10th tee? I very loundly complained and then the group behind us went 3 groups in front of us and skipped asking every other golfer in between if it was okay to cut in front of all of us?? Which now we had to wait almost 30+ minutes to get going again on the 10th tee after waiting for everyone getting let on the 10th and the cutting in line??? I have been going there for over the past 20 years? And I will never go there again if they have high school students running the pace of play as well as the course. Worst golf managed personel I have ever seen!!
Not a winter course
The course was in very poor condition. Every parts of the course was poorly maintained. The fairways were so wet that balls were lost. The greens were also so wet that they were just about unputtable
