Glen Eagle Golf Club - Red/Blue
About
Glen Eagle Golf Club, which is situated just northwest of Toronto, offers 27 holes of championship golf that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Red/Blue Course features undulating fairways and large, heavily contoured greens that move fast. The Red nine is the most difficult of the three nines at the club. It demands keen course management skills and accurate tee shots. It also requires a few long drives at 3, 521 yards form the tips. The Blue nine is challenging as well, but there are birdie opportunities on the 5th and 7th since their greens aren't elevated like all of the others.

An unfriendly golf course for the first timers.
A poorly laid out course. Got lost many times as the signage is poor and players are not offered any map to follow.
Great course worth replay
We start earlier than originally booked trying to avoid rain in late afternoon. Not many players in the field so pace is really quick. Weather turned out to be excellent and the course os well maintained except a few greens but overall condition is very good. Staff is very polite and friendly. We can finish the play in less than three hours.
Decent course
Good course, carts could be maintained better, fairways were a but rough with grass buildup in some areas, greens were decent. Only complaint is playing the regular was a bit confusing trying to find the next holes. Staff is very friendly and dependable!! Food was very good, had the crispy chicken sandwich!
Maintenance
There were many greens with patches of green missing. I don’t know if it was from the winter or a disease but it was annoying to try to putt through. In addition, there was an extremely high amount of pine needles and pine cones on many greens. I understand that is nature but I am sure that 10 minutes to blow them off the green would have solved the issue especially when they were expecting many golfers on Father’s Day. The hospitality of the staff was fantastic and the pace of play was good despite the amount of volume.
Good Course
Greens and tee boxes very good condition. Most fairways in reasonably good conditions, with some bare spots needing attention. Overall fun course and decent value for the price
Longer Than Normal
Amazing course, great staff! If your long game need to be fine tuned, this is where you need to play.
Good Layout
Course has a very good layout, lots of different holes, long enough from Blue Tee blocks but needs TLC.
Tee blocks and fairways are okay, greens not yet up to par, mid May they should be better.
Overall a decent course to play with lots of variety and length but conditions need attention.
Wet
27 hole facility with an interesting layout. We have had a lot of rain recently so low areas of the course had very soggy conditions. Power carts were allowed but it was necessary to be careful where you drove. No roll on fairways. Considering the wet conditions we still enjoyed our round. Greens were fairly quick but a little bumpy with lots of ballmarks.
Doubtful to play again
Had a tee time here today for 12:54 with two friends from work. We're all mid-handicappers, by no means tearing up a course. Left today very disappointed. Firstly, we were all on time but didn't tee off until closer to 1:10. Starter was not helpful in terms of informing us which 9s we would be playing.
Course was in fair shape. By no means a $70 round.
What was most disappointing was the pace of play. It took 3+ hours to finish 9. Not a Marshall in sight. It was close to 5pm when myself and my friends returned to the clubhouse after our front 9 as we weren't interested in spending 6+ hours on the course.
Wouldn't go again as the value for money wasn't there in my opinion.
Early season
Considering our recent rain falls course was averaged
no marshal at all
over booked. took 3 hours to complete front 9. played only 14 holes in 5 hours. got fed up and left.
Will never come back again. this is a good course but i cant play a 6 hour round. CRAZY. good luck Glen Eagle, your course is becoming a terrible disappointment.
Dissapointed
Pace of was horendeous, ended up leaving after played only 11 holes in almost 4 hours and 3 groups waiting on the same tee and marshal was nowhere to be found.
By far the worst pace of play od this season for me and my playing partner.
In clubhouse all the atttention was at the wedding, waited for saussages for 15 minutes.
Dissapointed
Dan and Gord
Lots of walking up high hills
This is a very challenging course. We played only blue nine as it took over 2 1/2 hours. Some tee boxes need work as do the paths.. Greens and fairways were fine. Coffee shop was disappointing. The cart is restricted to one side and if your ball is opposite you end up with long walk on steep hills . Plus rough often hides balls.
Thank you for taking the time to review us! We are sorry to see that you did not fully enjoy your time with us. We are always looking to improve, so we appreciate you taking the time to give us some feedback. We hope to have you back in the future.
