Goreway Golf Club

If you plan on going to this course, don’t even bother. This was easily the absolutely worst golf course I’ve ever played by far. Not only the staff was rude and gave me terrible attitude, they also sometimes heckled or interrupted in the middle of my shots, completely ruining my game. My group and I arrived to the golf course on time for our tee time, but due to the inefficiency of the staff and horrible instructions, we ended up having to wait and not being able to play until about 20 minutes after our tee time. As a result, there were multiple groups after us waiting for their turn. As you can tell, this was a complete recipe for disaster already. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistakes, one of the staff members started yelling at and blaming my group with severe attitude, saying we “ruined his day”, despite none of this being any of our faults, and it being purely the staff’s fault. At the first hole, he allowed for some groups to play before us, despite their tee time being way later than hours. When we finally were allowed to start, he allowed for the group behind us to start despite us still being within range of being hit by their ball. We weren’t even 50 yards away yet. A ball flew right by my shoulder while walking down the hole. We genuinely could’ve gotten a concussion. Later on, he would come around and annoy us on a golf cart, even handing us a rule book in the most passive aggressive way, and saying we don’t know what we’re doing and saying things like “THIS is how golf etiquette should be upheld”. Occasionally, he would also interrupt us mid-swing, knowing he ruined our swing, just due to his pettiness. I’m genuinely surprised he is able to work there with that foul tongue and attitude. If you have the luxury of not meeting this man, the golf course still isn’t worth it, as it is the most badly maintained course I’ve played on in my life. There is construction tape everywhere, some parts of the green isn’t even maintained properly and it’s long, and the spacing between tee times is horribly managed. If I could, I would give this course a 0/5 stars instead of 1. This course would be perfect for you if you desperately want to waste time and risk getting a concussion, all the while being yelled at by a man who works there, despite all the inconveniences and mistakes occurring because of his own incompetency. If you play this course anyways despite my warnings, don’t say I didn’t warn you. Happy golfing!

Green we nice. Lot of hazards, fairways were rough. But I did have a decent game. The staff were very monotone, and with out a hint of a smile. I asked a few questions and got 1 word answers.

Overall this course is terrible. I’ve played here before the name change and it’s really gone down hill fast. Everything about the course was bad.

I played after the heavy rains, but overall the course wasn’t bad. Good tee blocks on most holes, along with good fairways and greens.

There was barely anyone out there so got 18 in in 3 hours walking, which was great. Awesome value for money.

I've played here for many years, it's great to see recent improvements to the greens and the extensive work done to trim down areas near the fairway that make the course a bit more forgiving. Same owner's but with a renewed focus on the important aspects of course maintainance that made the experience substantially better than prior years. A good place to test your long game, some of the longest par 5's in the city.
