Streetsville Glen Golf Club
About
Streetsville Glen Golf Club first opened in 1967, but major renovation in 2001 have updated this golf course, making it more player friendly while still keeping the challenges of the original layout in tact. With only 10 holes when first opening, eight newly designed, thought-provoking holes were added. The golf course is somewhat short but the wind that comes into play on the back nine makes it seem like it plays much longer. There are also well placed bunkers and water hazards coming into play throughout. Streetsville Glen Golf Club's signature hole is the long par-5 sixth, where an out-of-bounds down the entire left side and a pond on the right require shots to not only be long, but also straight.

Marshals should be more aware of who's delaying the game.
There were a few occasions were we had to wait for the people ahead of us to clear the path, yet on marshal came to us twice suggersting we hurry. ?!?!
1. when playing golf, the last thing I want to do is rush. I'm there to enjoy some relaxin time.
2. before going up to someone and mess up the game of someone, make sure to find teh root cause of the delay... We don't stand around staring at the trees for no reason.
Too short for driver
This course is too short from the tips to hit driver on all but one or two holes. You could easily be on every green in regulation with no more than a five iron (180 yards). The layout seems a little chopped up but it is well marked with signs so it is hard to get lost.
I played on a Saturday so I expected the greens to be freshly mowed but they looked like they hadn't been cut in a few days. They had cut lines where spots had been missed the last time it was mowed. Overall I was very disappointed in the maintenance of the course; especially in light of the fact that it is owned by the same people who operate Lionhead which is only a few km up the road. They could easily use the same maintenance crew for both sites and provide a much better product.
Good short affordable course
Great short course to work on your short game, but still get to hit driver on a number of holes. Greens are a great shape. Really good value for GTA area, easy to get to.
A nice Short Course
Overall a decent short course. Still needs some work since the redesign but improving.
Lousy pro shop service
Booked a 6:28am tee time the night before. Golf course did not get my reservation nor that of another guy at the same time through golf.now. Lady at the pro shop treated me like I had no intelligence. Course was great. Price was great.
Don't play here if you don't like bad courses
If it's your first time on a golf course this is the course for you. If you have any golf experience at all stay clear! They let anyone play this course that wants to. Many golfers in jeans and t-shirts with little to no ability or knowledge of the game. 4 separate times we had people walk in front of our shots, twice playing a ball from someone in our group. The fairways, tee blocks and greens are all tight together, and this combined with rookie golfers is a recipe for disaster. We almost got hit 3 times while on the tee from people on the previous hole. This may have something to do with the inaccurate yardage markers. Every time I used my laser range finder I found the hole to play anywhere from 10-35 yards shorter than the sign said. There was also very little difference from fairway to rough and in some cases no difference at all. The power carts are in disrepair and for an extra $25 we should have walked the course. I must say the good thing about this course is the friendly staff. Everyone there was in good spirits and didn't act like prison guards in regards to rules and pace. The greens were also in good condition, a little slow but considering the rest of the course I would say they were the best part. If you are taking the family out, or people that haven't golfed before this may be the place to go. But if you want a quality round of golf stay clear.
As a hot deal this was sweet
Streetsville GC has 9 par 3s and 9 par 4s. Some of the par 4s are on the short side but with traps, water and other disasters awaiting poor shots it is not easy. The par 3s are legitimate length holes.
Since we had a rainy spring the course when we played it was as good as I have every seen - lush fairways and beautiful greens although the 16th hole fairway had a lot of standing water. in the valley.
We got a great hot deal price from GolfNow. We got off as a twosome but soon ran into backlog due to a foursome that was holding up play for everyone. I credit the marshal for first allowing a twosome to play through them and then two holes later allowed us through - never had to wait on another shot all day!
The course is easy to play
The course is easy to play and is great for starters.
Terrible layout
Course staff are very friendly but the layout of the course is terrible. We walked it and it took his up hills, back down, then up again (all the same hill) for different holes.
Fairways are tight but for the $25 that we payed you can't go wrong. If we golf it again we will definately rent a cart.
Great Value, slow pace
Great Value for 18 holes.
Congested at every tee box.
Rough requires work, grass was way too high.
Bad Experience
Bad day all around.
Arrived for our 11:32 tee off on time. Checked in and was told there was a 10 minute delay. Checked in with starter and was told a 30 minute delay. The starter admitted that they jammed people in today AND let walk ons into the mix. We teed off 40 minutes behind and played 4 holes in 90 minutes. We finished out 9 holes and went home. When we complained, we were given 2 for 1 coupons.
Best course under $30
Under $30 this course is worth every penny. Easy, simple, functional and practical course. A test to the mental part of the game than the skills. Great confidence booster.
Good place to practice short game .
Good place to knock the rust off your swing . Executive set up with 9 3's & 9 4's all short yardage .
excellen value for money
right location, great course for short game, couldl do better withh a better clubhouse with change rooms though !
No Rain Check
The course policy is to prorate a discount for rain checks, and when purchasing a foursome on golf now, it apparently can not be prorated and no rain check is given.
Word of advice to Streetsville Glen: Don't treat your customers who risk rain with disrespect, or else nobody will come when there is any chance of rain.
The 3 other golfers in my foursome are beginners, and they were very disappointing with the experience. We will not be returning to Streetsville glen.
It was great for a novice golfer
The staff was very friendly and the course was very well maintained.
