Streetsville Glen Golf Club
About
Streetsville Glen Golf Club first opened in 1967, but major renovation in 2001 have updated this golf course, making it more player friendly while still keeping the challenges of the original layout in tact. With only 10 holes when first opening, eight newly designed, thought-provoking holes were added. The golf course is somewhat short but the wind that comes into play on the back nine makes it seem like it plays much longer. There are also well placed bunkers and water hazards coming into play throughout. Streetsville Glen Golf Club's signature hole is the long par-5 sixth, where an out-of-bounds down the entire left side and a pond on the right require shots to not only be long, but also straight.

Fast, Fun and good practice
Played here last weekend and played the course in 3 hours. From the moment I got to the pro shop I was impressed. I checked in and was meet by the pro on the first tee and he explained the layout of the first few holes to me so I knew exactly where I was going, I've had that from marshals before but never from the pro, that was neat. I went in for a replay was given such a great deal! I will return here. It was great to practice my irons and next time I will bring my brother for sure who is just beginning to play.
Cheap, fast and fun
I remember playing here when it was a full length golf course and I was very surprised to arrive and notice a lot of the holes were cut in half. But from the minute I hit the pro shop I was impressed, I was given an amazing deal on a new RBZ stage 2 driver and the pro inside came out and even gave me a run down of the first few holes before our tee time. I played the course with the mind set that it is now a new golf course and not the course I once knew. I ended up finishing in 3 hours and really enjoyed the new design, even with some of the odd set ups for some of shots. I went into the proshop and asked to re play and was told that with the purchase of a shirt or shorts that were already 40% off I could play for free. I got a new Adidas shirt for 40 some odd dollars and got a second round with that value. Visit this course they are doing things right!
Good Beginner Course
Played here twice last week trying to get some practice in before heading to a more difficult course. The grass needed some attention and so did the lady working the front desk. I was standing in front of her for 2mins and she pretended i was not there.
Front 9 is a little messed up
Just an OK course - Front 9 is cut up a bit to accommodate new homes. Back 9 by far the better.
Front nine has very tight fairways as holes are very close together.
Trade off
For the money and convenience, you may want to consider this course. It is a short and compact course. I had a couple of times putting with the ball from other holes landed in front of me...
Streetsville Glenn Golf Course
Course is good for your iron game. no real long holes. Longest was around 360 yards. Put your driver away. Greens were slow but very plush so you can stick your approch shot and hold the greens. Greens were covered in ball marks, not courses fault, just inconsiderate golfers.
Played this course 3 times, never saw a marshal
Played on 3 consecutive days around the same time. Greens were never cut and were extremely patchy. The hole location was not changed for 3 straight days. Felt like I was putting on the rough.
Because of the price it attracts many beginners and over my 3 days I never ever saw 1 marshal on the course. Only a starter and that was it. As a result everyone and their mother was teeing off from the tips (granted its a very short course). With so many par 3s I saw groups hit 7 or 8 tee shots when the course was backed up.
Waiting at the tee box I saw players take 6/7 shots to get to the 100 yard stick and continue to hack until they reached the green. At this point they took another 15 minutes to 4 putt before moving on to the next green.
On my third day I left after playing 7 holes (which took almost 2.5 hours). I didn't return to the pro shop to get a rain check as I knew I would never be back on this course ever again.
I cannot believe this course is associated with Lionhead and Royal Ontario. Absolutely disgraceful. The only redeeming feature is probably the staff--good staff.
Decent par 3 course.
Decent shape but pretty slow pace and no Marshall's to speed it up
Great course, needs improvements.
I had a great experience overall, and would play there again. It's in Brampton, and took about 30 minutes to get to from downtown Toronto.
The area they really need improvement on is the signage, and that was noted from even before we got to the course.
I think there has been a lot of development in the area around the golf course, and Google Maps couldn't direct us properly to the it, so we had to call in. It would be very handy if they had a sign on Financial Road and Hallstone Drive pointing the direction of the course.
On the course itself, the signs that showed the hole information including yardage was sometimes difficult to read because the paint was chipped off. Also, the addition of a small picture of the hole's layout would be greatly appreciated, as using the scorecard can be challenging with respect to the orientation.
Finally, the signs directing you to the next hole were sometimes confusing, or not enough.
I'd play again though. The staff was super-friendly, especially nice to one our party who was playing for the first time.
Always Enjoyable
Since Streetsville Glen has changed their course to an executive course, it course has been well maintained and always a good place to return to. The entire course is Par 3 or Par 4 and really tests a players' short game. I've returned back to Streetsville Glen many times, always a fun course.
Good value and convenient.
The sign markings to direct golfers to the next hole and scant and vague. The layout is a really bizarre, so more signs which clearly indicate where the next tee box is located are definitely needed through out the course. A small and cheap fix which would help golfers and speed up play.
Lady who works at front desk needs a check up from the neck up
The proshop lady has a really sour attitude. Beware. She moves like molasses and throws your credit card back to you after she takes your money. She looks like she's having a bad day. Every day. She rolls her eyes at you, she works cash and the kitchen, so I can't blame her for hating her job. Get a new one then. I've been here a couple of times because it is convenient and you can finish 18 holes after work if the group in front doesn't hold you up. Next time I go, I'm going to make sure she knows how her attitude is.
I would consider this a par 3 course
Very confusing layout. Hard to determine which flag to aim for and where the next hole starts. There was a lot of back and forth.
I enjoyed the course, it has enough challenge to make it interesting
This was the first time I had played this course, so it took a while to find my way around. I enjoyed the course as it provided sufficient challenge to make the course interesting for me. I found the cost for 18 holes to be very reasonable and I like the fact it is close to home for me in Erin MIlls. The course length was such that a round was completed in about 3 hours and I found that to be about right for a hot ans sticky summer day.
Location
For the location and price you can't beat it! I teed off at 7 am on Sunday and we played in 3 hours. Course was in great shape also, especially considering we had an almost hurricane a week ago.
Good course, had a hole in one...enjoyed the game
Good course to play. Tempted to play again after hitting Hole in One.
For the price it's alright
Went with a foursome, for the size of this course the play speed was slow.A course this size should take about 3-3 1/2 hrs instead it took just over 4 hrs. Also needed some work especially on the tee box. This course is ok if you are desperate for a round and can't get in anywhere else.
Disapponted by changes
I hadn't played Streetsville since the most recent changes. I imagine it can be challenging to rework and shorten a course to use the same greens, but change the layout. Some holes remain a good challenge, but others had odd distances (<100 yards) and layouts with blind shots around corners or over hills. This would be okay, as you can use various irons to practice, but I was disappointed by the upkeep. The greens didn't seem like they had been mowed, and the tees and fairways were overgrown with weeds in many places. Getting a cheap deal through Golfnow can make it a cheap round, but I'm not sure if I will go back.
Maybe for free if no one was around
Poorly maintained ,just waiting till they can build houses.
Carts are over priced and old.Put out to many players per hour on the weekend. Snack bar is as bad as the coarse.Stale over priced food food..
Marshals should be more aware of who's delaying the game.
There were a few occasions were we had to wait for the people ahead of us to clear the path, yet on marshal came to us twice suggersting we hurry. ?!?!
1. when playing golf, the last thing I want to do is rush. I'm there to enjoy some relaxin time.
2. before going up to someone and mess up the game of someone, make sure to find teh root cause of the delay... We don't stand around staring at the trees for no reason.
