Must invest some money back to the course
The cart paths are totally ruined. It was a wet day when I played and there a few pools of water in the fairways. Nice lay out but it needs attention and work.
nice course
very nice condition
But it's rainy day
Still remaining on some green
2-3 greens
So we need to powerful putting
good course and good price which booked form golf now
booked from golfnow and got good deal, as amost end of the season, i got good deal and not so people to push. so very enjobed the game.
Good walking course
Lakeridge Links Is an extremely good course with enough challenge for the average player.
Highly recommend playing this course to anyone.
Our group has played it for many years and it is always in good shape.
Too many staff in the pro shop
golf
Started on the back 9. Pace was good, not very busy (Oct 17). playing number 18, saw staff punching a hole I hadn't played yet. Got to number 3 and had to skip it. I understand that it has to done for winter but someone could have said something beforehand. Only played 17 holes.
Always seems to be in good shape!
Good place to play when you book special prices through Golf Now, otherwise green fees are high. This course always seems to be in good shape. Greens can be fast and there is a good variety of holes. The 18th is a tough way to come home.
A very long round, 5 hours on a weekday.
Overall I like the course, just wish the play was faster.
The cart paths are very bumpy, need to do some repairs.
A good course to be happy with few good scores.
a course with woods and more scenic view around. fairways are forgiving and the greens are nice and smooth.
What a way to start the round.
Both my buddy and I are fairly good golfers with around a 10 handicap. We've played at many courses including Lakeridge before so we know the routine and speech of the starter well. But at this course on this particular day, the starter must be new or a real you know what.
We approach the first tee and handed him out receipts. He asked what deck we are playing from. We said the back tees. Then he said "are you sure? It's windy today". We said yes we are sure. Then he said. Okay, I expect you guys to be back tome 3rd hole in less than 20 minutes and make the turn in less than 2 hrs. And if you have any issues on the course you let the Marshall know as he points at the guy. Lets just say we were a twosome and we were held up all round by a slow group ahead of us and we never saw the Marshall once.
I will never return to this course again. As a grown man, I do not need to be lectured on the pace of play nor do I need to be told which deck to tee off from. I mean I understand pace of play is important but present the information a little better to the gOlfers.
great lay out and design
I enjoyed the course very much. I love to play more often if there is special rate.
This course offers some unique features.
This course is very playable and quite pretty. There is adequate variety:water, fescue, elevation, narrow approaches. It's a challenging, but doable walk...which is my favourite feature.
Without discount would be too expensive for quality of course
Nice course , would not pay full asking price though
Kidney Shaker!
Didn't matter if I was on the paths or fairways, the ride in the cart felt like an old wooden rollercoaster. Paved paths are broken and full of frost heaves, and the rest of the course isn't any better. Ruined the entire round.
3 employees behind the counter. 1 serving, other 2 leaning on back counter talking while people are waiting in line. eventually, one comes to the other till to offer assistance.
Booking came with a range bucket. I was a bit late getting there, so when they gave the range token they asked if I'd be using it. I said I could use it anytime. Their reply, was that they'd prefer I didn't leave the course with the token, because they cost $1 to replace... but at no time did they offer a rain check for it.
I kept the token.
Already gave it to somebody else.
Won't be back.
The golf course is great - it's everything else that requires attention
I love LakeRidge and play there quite often - I live very near by
The golf course is great - and is always in awesome condition
- but the cart paths are horrendous - id rather have a four wheeler
on this course -- the staff is average at best -- there are 2 fairway bunkers on #16 that haven't had sand in them for 2 years now -- if they're not gonna bunkers, then fill them in --
I feel like I care about LakeRidge more than the owners do !?!?
Challenging but fair.
This course is challenging and plays long. But a descent score can be achieved.
Good course! Didn't let me use my raincheck though!
the course is in decent shape. some areas need work. not sure why a rain check given to me during a round booked through golfnow couldn't be used during the next round booked the same way. disappointing as me and my friend drove a long way to play here.
Decent Track
I've played this course before and it's always in decent shape. I find its full rate to be a bit on the pricey side but I usually enjoy the layout and as a single in the morning I was able to fly around in 3 hrs walking so can't complain about that.
There are better options our there...
I'm not a fan of writing bad reviews but would like to share about this experience.
Lakeridge Links apparently has a policy different from the rest of the world of golf.
They don't have a starter and have a policy on the first tee box to "wait until the group ahead of you is putting or finishes putting before tee'ing off"
I am not aware of this rule in the game of golf and decided to call the pro shop to inquire. I CALMLY asked the gentleman on the phone, was not rude, did not use any foul language or anything.
Just asked the simple question of why the 4 some at the tee box is not tee'ing off? there are 8 people waiting, the group ahead of them is putting and these 4 are just standing there talking and laughing.
His response was rude, snappy and "thats the way we do things here" attitude.
"we wait for the group ahead of you to finish so they don't bottle up later"
Well sir. your theory doesn't work! I still waited at more than just a few holes inside the 18 and there's no excuse to be rude to your guests!
Because I booked through GolfNow, I was stuck there and played through the round. Although, any other circumstance, I would have instantly got my money back and left the course.
I DO NOT recommend this course to anyone under an 18 handicap. It is a great course for beginners and for the type of people who enjoy the game and THINK they can play. Cheers.
This course has good challenges for players of all level ofplay
This course can play very tough if you play the blue or black
Tees
May have been the same marshall that we got yeaterday. He had us paired with 2 groups. He couldn't figure out which twosome we were supposed to play with.
As for your issue I agree. He has no right to tell anyone where they should play from. We had a an issue with the clubhouse staff yesterday. There were no range balls left so the clubhouse guy tells us to head over to the range and he would send a guy over with a few buckets. Nobody came even though I called 15 minutes in "to remind him":. Made us wait at the range for 30 minutes and nobody showed up.
Nice course but their staff needs serious re-training, including the manager who didn't seem to give a rip.
