Sprawling across rolling terrain, Savannah Golf Links features several dramatic elevation changes and several elevated tees and greens. Golfers will be sure to come across many uneven lies. At 6,213 yards from the back tees, it is not a long golf course but it puts a premium on accuracy in order to get a good store, making it a true shot-maker's golf course. Savannah Golf Links offers a variety of challenges, appealing to both low and high handicappers. The most notably difficult hole is the par-4 sixth. This 362-yard hole is a dogleg right with a small landing area that requires a second shot that will carry over water to a postage stamp green with a bunker placed in front.

A bit wet here and there after all the rain , no carts allowed yet, walking hilly terrain was just great exercise !

Excellent grounds conditions, challenging layout, fun to play.

Very friendly, well maintained course. Was very busy so pace of play was slow. Always one of our favourite course. Highly recommend.
Stones on tee boxes and fsirways
I have played here often and always enjoy however today the tee boxes and some fairways were areated and covered in small stones....hard on club heads.

10 degree mid afternoon round.
Aeration on greens were small punches so it didn’t wreck the game.
Staff here are happy to have you out and take pride in their course. Small things like asking how your round went shows they care about the customers and respect the game of golf. Also, on October 22nd, yes, October 22nd, they had a starter making sure groups were being spaced and timed properly.
With nearby courses falling to the big-company cost-cutting measures, it’s refreshing to see this independently owned spot treat their players properly. I’ll return many more times.

From the moment you step into the proshop to walking off the 18th green everything is first class.

The greenskeeper and grounds crew keep the course in pristine condition..
The pro shop, starter and marshals do a first class job.

Beautiful, quiet course
Because of the course's location, there is not much traffic nearby which makes the playing experience relatively quiet and enjoyable. I would however note that some players mistake peaceful for SLOW. The group ahead of us was 3-4 holes behind those in front of them, and never offered to allow us to play through, with multiple opportunities to do so. A lack of Player's Assistant on the course allowed this to happen. It is nice that the course offers a relaxed atmosphere but they need to remind all players to respect the guidelines of courtesy and pace of play.

Yes, we top-dressed the tees and approaches with some aggregate that is a little "rockier" than usual but it should be settled in a few days. This was done in order to improve drainage in our soil profile.
