Peninsula Lakes Golf Club - Hillside
About
The Hillside Course is one of three nine-hole courses at Peninsula Lakes Golf Club. It is similar to the original course at the club, the Quarry, in that water comes into play on four holes. This golf course, however, uses the many lakes scattered throughout its landscape in creative ways to provide a unique set of challenges. There are also strategically placed bunkers bordering the fairways and greens. The golf course starts out with the shortest par-4 at Peninsula Lakes Golf Club but bites back with a tricky par 3. The fourth and fifth holes are built between two lakes, making them particularly scenic but they also demand hitting straight.

pen lakes
nice coarse-pace of play was very good-would plat again
Greens need to 'recover', but otherwise, excellent.
Played with a member, who pointed out all of the 'dangers'.
Quality Layout
Senior player playing the senior tees which were placed closer to the white yardage which made the round a lot more challenging. Course was in fabulous shape & would love to play again this year at a more appropriate yardage for my game. Shot 82
Top notch!!
Beautifully maintained , and well layed out with a little bit of everything including long winding par 5's. It has a very professional feel.
Beautiful Course
We've played Peninsula Lakes a couple of times and when I saw the GN deal I jumped on it. Played as a twosome with my wife. Course was in great condition, staff was friendly and helpful and two foursomes let us play through so the pace of play was excellent. My wife shot her lowest round, 84 so the reverse of the old saying "When momma ain't happy..." was in vogue yesterday. Really enjoyed the day.
great place too play
had great time course was in great playing shape from tee to green whould have no problem playing again
Over rated
It's a nice course. It's better than average, but it's price is not in line with the layout.
The starter truly believes it's a better course than Grand Niagara. This is a joke. I would rank it behind GN, Battlefield, Bridgewater, and Thundering Waters in the Niagara region. I would rather play Royal Niagara for considerably less $$$.
the greens are very true
Nice to play a course where the greens are kept in excellent condition,
Played the course a few years ago and was good then but is even better now.
In top 3 courses in Niagara area
Bring your best game
This golf course is the best deal on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, as far conditions and value for money. It forces you use all your clubs. My advice is to club up. Greens are large and undulating. Make sure to take your time and you read them carefully. Enjoy.
Great for a weekend outing
Very nice facility and great staff. Very nice views and family near to Niagara for your casino needs :-)
One of the best best in Ontario!!
The fairways were in excellent shape, although the greens were recently aerated, were stiff fast and true. The views were breathtakingly beautiful, staff were friendly and courteous. Overall one of the best I've played in 38 yrs. of golfing!! Great job Pen Lakes staff!!
Still one of the Nicest in Niagara Region
I love Penn Lakes!. Not sure how my review will show but I'd give it 4.5 Stars. Points lost in value for money and I don't think they participate in GolfNow. Sorry I just want a better deal. Everything else is perfect. I've never seen the grounds and practice ranage more manicured in Niagara. It extends to the course. Fantastic lay out of all 27 holes. Fairways are like carpets. The course has a feel like you're playing somewhere special. Great greens! Bunkers too. I wouldn't say the course is overly difficult but it's challenging at the same time. Just right actually. There aren't any jaw dropping signature holes that blew me away, but they are all very, very nice. I'll play here as often as I can get a chance. Won't pay more 55 dollars though which I got through some Internet deal from their website. If you get a chance to play this one you won't be disappointed. Long known as one of Niagara's best. Definitely top 5.
One of the best courses in Niagara
Played all 27 holes on Thursday and the course is in excellent condition. Staff were very friendly and helpful from booking our tee time to getting us started. Marshals were around to check on us a couple of times and actually helped us find a wayward ball on one hole. Starter had a great sense of humor and gave us a few pointers on some holes before we started. The course itself was fantastic with some risk / reward holes and a great mix of par 3, 4 and 5 holes. Great value for the dollar as well. Tee off before 9:30 during the week and play 18 with a cart for only $55 and if you want to play the other 9 after that it is only an extra $20 with cart. Would definitely recommend this course to anyone no matter what skill level.
Best places
This is one of the best places to play in S. Ontario, we have been going here for over 20 years. The greens are top rate and the whole course is in tip top shape. They have a gift card sale every year and it is one of the few things we make sure we do. I am already looking forward to going this year as soon as the weather warms up.
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
What do you mean by recover? Have they just aerated their greens? Scheduled to play there tomorrow...
