The Hawk Niagara Falls Golf Club - White Orchard
About
The White Orchard Course is one of three challenging nines at The Hawk Niagara Falls Golf Club (formerly known as Peninsula Lakes Golf Club). The course's layout features tricky elevation changes and there are also sand traps and bunkers bordering the greens and fairways. Like the other two courses, the White Orchard features several lakes but it is flatter, straighter, and more narrow than the other nines. It also plays a bit longer. The par-3 sixth is a scenic challenge with an elevated tee that looks upon a green that is almost entirely surrounded by water. The Hawk Niagara Falls Golf Club is garnering a loyal following for the interesting challenges offered by its 27 unique holes.

Fall Golf
If you want fall golf with mid summer conditions this is the place, greens fast and true
Best course in Niagara region
This course is extremely challenging. Lots of hazards big fairway bunkers, and very long holes some par 4s hard to get to in 2 but it's very scenic. Perfect for the experienced golfer looking for a challenge.
Best course
A well managed and attended course. The conditions and maintenance are always top notch. Definitely my go to course in the Niagara region.
Not the same
We always thought this beautiful layout was pristine. Not so much now. Greens were not up to usual standards, a bit slow and bumpy. Course itself was a few notches above average as to condition. Should be able to play the course I. 4 hrs. 19 minutes. Our 1:30 round took approximately 4 hr. 40 minutes. Perception may have been somewhat influenced having played the exquisite Lookout Point early that day, just up the road. We way have caught an off day and some consideration to a stretch of heat and dry weather.
Excellent public course. Played quarry and hillside. Bunkers well positioned even for long hitters. Not sure where the name " quarry" came from as I've played quarry courses and there weren't any quarry holes.. I liked hillside the best. Terrain matched its name. Pace of play was slow, but reasonably so, since it was cart path only due to wet fairways from previous nights rain and it was a Saturday afternoon. We appreciated the Canadian hospitality!
Great day
Course was in great shape and we had a wonderful round. Definitely worth playing here.
Always a pleasure to play this beautiful course. Cart path only due to heavy rains the night before.
Our Summer Treat
Its more $ than we like to pay, but its "our treat" to ourselves once a summer. Its always immaculate & just a beautiful view from some of the top tee boxes.
Great course
A bit out of my usual price range but had a couple of gift certificates. Very nice course, very friendly staff. No veggie dogs at the turn but this place is no more behind the times than any other golf course in that regard. They called up to kitchen and got me a goat cheese wrap which was friggin' delicious and another example of very gracious staff. Greens weren't nearly as fast as I was expecting but that's going to be the new normal as high-end courses strive to be more sustainable. If I was in a higher income bracket I would play here a LOT more frequently.
3 great 9’s
Lots of variations between the 3 9’s, excellent greens & fairways . Overall course in great shape.
High praise
As noted by my rating, everything was great. Paired with another occasional golfer of similar caliber - longer but less proficient with his short game. Played Quarry and Hillside in just over three hours.
Stay away from the "nature" areas and water of course and ball loss is low. The tree ares may slow you down but its your own doing as fairways are generous. Would I play again? Resounding YES - booked the next round in two days on the way out.
Easily one of Niagara’s best
The course condition and layout are always enjoyable. Looking forward to our next visit.
