The Hawk Niagara Falls Golf Club - Blue Niagara
About
The Hawk Niagara Falls Golf Club (formerly know as Peninsula Lakes Golf Club) is home to 27 holes of golf. The Blue Niagara Course, the club's original course, is named for its layout, which descends to the bottom of a quarry and then makes a gradual ascent to the clubhouse. There are four large lakes throughout this nine-hole course that comes into play on four holes. The golf course is challenging with well-placed bunkers, dense patches of rough, and careful mounding throughout but the more player-friendly fairways are quite generous and mid-size greens that putt fast and true. It begins with two signature holes, first a par-4 dogleg left and then a challenging par 3.

Golfer Reviews
typical resort course
Good resort course. Not difficult at all. played from the tips without hitting the driver once. very good conditions all around. because many non regular golfers play, pace is very slow. Didn't see a ranger once. No course lay out or slope/par ratings. Couple of blind shots could confuse the first time player, especially if not a regular golfer
Please know your golf etiquitte
I have nothing to say against this course at all. However the twosome in front of us..WOW.,,she was a new golfer & he was giving her lessons after every bad shot. They were soooo slow, they should have known to let us play through (we were a twosome also), Our 4.5 hr round should have been 3.5 hours.
A Great Golf Course!
Peninsula Lakes is one of my favorite places to play. It fell off the map for me for a few years and I am very happy that we went back for a round last week. The course layout is amazing and challenging. Good shots are rewarded and bad ones are punished.
The greens are exceptional and true.
Get here as soon as you can and check out this gem in Niagara.
The best course in Niagara
It was a perfect day, warm weather, no wind. The course is in spectacular condition. Was a great round and looking forward to playing this course again.
Tranquility
I teed off at .4pm on a Tuesday and it felt like I was the only player out there. I played quarry and hillside and this early in the season with all the rain we had the night before, the course was immaculate. Greens true tee boxes flat. Loved it. Played well too.
Nice conditions
For this early in the season, the course was in great shape. Lots of sand in the traps, greens running fast but smooth.
Spring golf at its best
The course is in great shape, greens, bunkers, fairways, driving range and all. Wind was a challenge. Played with a couple from Sudbury down for a week of spring golf - made for a good round. Staff professional and helpful. Played Orchard and Hillside. Added bonus - sighted two goslings, first of the year, maybe couple days old.
Penn Lakes - Pelham Ontario
Despite being a cold day, the wind was not too bad, and the course was in excellent condition, especially considering the amount of rain throughout the early part of the week. Penn Lakes is one of the best maintained courses in the region, and when you get a deal like we had, it is well worth it. The holes are challenging and many are very interesting, especially the first couple of holes on Orchard (got to go to the top tee off point to really enjoy the 2nd hole), and Hillside is always fun to play.
challenging and stunning
Course is perfect for fall golf. Greens are impeccable and layout makes for a great day of "risk reward" golf!
stunning conditions and fall views
This is a spectular course! The conditions are perfect and combined with Niagara escarpment fall colour views are a memory you won't forget! The only drawback is due to time of year staff is lacking to open their wonderful halfway house for great food.
