A Tale of 2 Nines
Front 9 is pretty flat and wide open but has some challenges with water hazards and 3 Par-5s. Back 9 is much nicer with lots of contour and more scenic setting.
Riverview
We enjoyed the course. It HAS TWO DISTINCT NINES, ONE ON EITHER SIDE OF Victoria AVENUE. THE FRONT NINE IS LONGER THAN THE BACK NINE, BUT THE BACK NINE IS MUCH MORE DIFFICULT WITH WATER EVERYWHERE. GET AN EXTRA SLEEVE OF BALLS BEFORE YOU CROSS THE ROAD TO PLAY THE BACK NINE
Nice course
The course was descent. The clubhouse looks a little run down. I didn't eat there so I couldn't tell you abut the food
Greens are in great condition
Course is fun to play. Front nine a little flat, but the back nine has some nice changes in grade and mmakes you think a little more. Staff always ready to help when you ask.
First Timer
Loved the fact that the round was under 4 hours. Two different nines. Decent course for the money we paid.
Great deal
Greens were in excellent condition. We had very nice but windy weather and that made some of the longer holes quite tough, especially playing from the back tees. Make sure you take a look at the hole picture/layout as there are some blind water hazards marked by a red and white striped stake.
We got our round for a great price from Hot Deals and that coupled with almost having the course to ourselves made for a great deal.
I would like to see a hitting net for warm-up as they have no driving range.
great hot deal
I found a great hot deal for $11 with cart included. I wasn't even going to play that day but considering the price how could I pass it up. I often play as a single and have met some great people that way. this is one site I tell everyone about, now its getting harder to find a tee time.
Extremely long front nine
Front nine at 3500 yards from white tees is a lot to handle. Several par 4"s over 425 yards. Course condition was good & staff extremely friendly. Pace of play was slow for my liking but a nice day.
Excellent choice of course!!
Staff great and they let us go early and very difficult course, we had a great time.
Worth the money!!!
Start with back-to-back par 5's. Front 9 fairly flat but laid out well. Back 9 has more terrain and hills. Great layout here overall. Not my first trip there and won't be my last. BEER ONLY $4.50! Fellow golf course proprietors take notice: demographically we are just blue collared people. Think about selling 4-6 beers at $4.50 instead of gouging for $5.75-$6.25/beer where your lucky if I buy one.
Thumbs up to Riverview!!!
Good Day of Golf
Course was in great shape even though we had received tons of rain over the few days prior to playing.
nice and long
Nice and long. Friendly staff. Not the most scenic golf course but the layout was good and it was well maintained.
Course is centrally located.
I have played this course over the years and I have not seen it in such great condition. This is a family owned course and they make you feel welcome. Front nine is long starting with back to back par fives. The front is fairly flat but the back nine is more rolling hills and dog legs that make you think about postioning.
Course plays to 6400 from the whites.
Course was in fairly good condition.
Enjoyed the course and the greens were fairly well maintained. They need to get better carts for the course as the one I was in almost couldn't make it up some of the hills and paths.
Nice course design.
Front nine plays long and fairly straight while the back nine has a nice design with water coming in play and more accurate shot placement required. Nice course.
Great golf course, that is never too busy
Riverview is a great course that features a very different front and back 9, which gives it one of the better layouts of a course in the region. The front plays super long, flat and quite open for long hitters. The back looks like a completely different course. There is a lot of elevation and water on nearly every hole. A bomber might get away with a great score on the front, but the back feels like more of a shot makers course.
The course itself is well maintained from tee to green. The pace of play is always exceptionally good. I go to this course a couple times a year and it is never too busy.
Staff is always very nice and makes you feel like they appreciate your business,
MUST PLAY
GREAT COURSE LAYOUT FRONT AND BACK... TEE BLOCKS WHERE EXCELLENT...FAIRWAY WAS EXCELLENT...GREENS WHERE EXCELLENT... BETTER THAN MOST IN THE NIAGARA AREA AND ELSEWHERE...GIVE IT A TRY YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED..PLAYS LOOONG BUT A LOT A FUN
Good value for the money.
The fairways, greens, and bunkers were in excellent shape. I would play this course again.
This course has some interesting golf holes which are hard to get the ball on.
Course has no senior tees and there some holes in which to get a par on for the average player. The greens are in good shape and fairways are wide enough for a margin of error.
