A tough and challenging track.
I found that from the white tees, it was a bit too short for the average golfer. The blue tees was a good distance for the fair to good golfer. The fairways were very well maintained as was the bunkers,
Cranky Rocco the Pro at an Excellent Stanley Thompson Layout
The course was in great condition for August. However, this year has been cool and wet. In the past it typically gets dried out because they don;t have access to enough water.
Well designed interesting mix of holes on a mature parkland layout. 9 and 18 play across a creek. A number of interesting and challenging par threes and a reachable par 5.
We were confronted aggressively by Rocco the pro for parking in a shady parking space apparently reserved (unmarked) for his soon to be arriving staff and forced to move the car as he did not want his staff to have to park out in the members/green fee parking out yonder. When we left 4 1/2 hours later the two spots were still shady and still unoccupied. That seemed a bit unnecessary and a a bit lacking in both grace and customer relations.
This course was designed by the famous golf course designer Stanley Thompson. Alot of trees along most fairway .
Greens are a challenge to read and fast. The course is immaculate shape.
Must play at least once. I will be back
I was very impressed with this course. The course had some very interesting holes. The greens were very good with a couple of trouble spots. The fairways were pristine and rolled very well. They were rebuilding some tee decks but it did not bother my game. 9 and 18 are interesting holes guarded in front by creeks. I managed to birdie the 18th which I thought was a tough hole. I will play this course a least 1 more time this season.
Very nice course
Loved playing this course. Challenging but forgiving. Never lost a ball found rough to be rough but cut around trees and unless your out of bounds everything was findable. Fairways plush and greens were soft but faster than they might look. One of my top 2 or 3 favourite courses of the year.
Good course, poorly managed.
On the 13th green the sprinklers turned on at 4:30 pm on a Sunday. I was soaked along with my iPhone and my $1000 golf clubs. Staff member was dismissive of me when I called time tell them to turn off sprinklers. Absolutely unprofessional.
Good value on an excellent course
Course was in very good shape.greens where fast and in excell net condition.
Nice elevation changes.
This was the first time I had ever played this course, even though I live in the Niagara area. We have many good golf courses to choose from. A couple of tee blocks needed attention, but this was only a minor concern. The greens were in excellent shape, rolled true, held the ball and played at a med-fast speed. Nicely maintained, wide enough fairways made for good pace of play for women, junior and senior golfers alike. I will definitely play Bridgewater again! Highly recommended!!!
Clean, beautiful course with challenging greens.
Had a great time, staff was friendly and helpful. Free balls for the range while waiting for your tee time was a great bonus. My only complaint was the organization of when they sent us out. My friend and I showed up before a group of 4 that had a tee time 5 minutes before ours. They sent the group of 4 walkers out before our pair with a cart. Unfortunately causing a delay of game and forcing us to add about an hour to play time. It was just one honest mistake that caused a minor inconvenience. Aside from that we had a great time.
A hidden gem
This course surprised me. I had never heard of it but a friend in Niagara area had heard of it and recommended we play.
I am so glad we did.
I would recommend to anyone.
It is a very nice parkland style course, challenging in its own way.
Not very many people on it during the weekday.
One of the best courses in the area.
Bridgewater is one of the best golf courses in the Niagara area. A very challenging 18 holes you will experience. The Par 3's play very tough. Bridgewater has found a way to crush me in the past. Posted 82 yesterday and left some strokes on the fast greens. Make sure you are below the hole on these greens or watch out. Love playing there and will again soon. Birdied 3 of the first 5. I'll be back.
great course
tremendous value for the price. well maintained course. ball placement is key and the greens are very fast but consistent.
The hazards are well defined.
It is walkable and the greens are in very good condition.
mature landscaping
A good looking course. It's always great to play a challenging round surrounded by mature trees
great course for the money
Great Stanley Thompson design, not overly long, 6700 yds. from the tips, but plenty of trouble with trees, thick rough and plenty of bunkers. Greens are fast with plenty of undulations. Must play for anyone that enjoys old style courses.
Rain-Out
We arrived at the course at 6:40 for a 7:42 tee time. We thought that we might hit a couple of balls and grab breakfast. Those two things were a no-go The first tee time of the day is 7AM, and I don't think the restaurant opens until 8. The Pro did let us get out at 7:05 and we were able to get in 11 1/2 holes before the downpour. What a fun time. Truly a mature classic course. Course conditions were amazing for how much rain we've had this year, and the greens were as true as could be. Not only were the grounds keeper and pro as friendly as could be, the members and guests were just as friendly. We felt very welcome and will be back for sure. Just a note that the range max is 265 yards....
A Must Play Course
Bridgewater country golf club with it's pulchritudinous landscape, provides the golfer with many challenges from the red to the blue tees. Bridgewater is a must play golf course. Fort Erie's best kept secret is out now.
Bridgewater golf course
Bridgewater is a great course to play. A challenge at times but fairways in immaculate shape along with greens. Also yard markers all down the fairways takes a lot of guessing out of the game. great value for great course
Highly recommended
Anytime you can play a top rated course for less than $50 (booked through GolfNow) you are doing well. As always, was in great shape with speedy greens with a fairly open layout.

Actually you were informed very politely that the 2 spots next to my vehicle were in fact staff parking a small benefit of working at the club. These spots are clearly away for the normal parking lot also. The other customers that heard the conversation were a little put back that you would even make a fuss about it.
