Tight Course
This course is in the middle of a park as there was a number of people and kids playing or walking their dogs right through the course. Numerous trails around holes, almost no cart paths or indications of what hole is next. About a quarter of the holes had no signs other than the hole number. Had to cut across the front of a tee block multiple times to get to the next hole. Seemed like they planned 9 holes then forgot they were making 18.
They tried to pair us up with another twosome during Covid, like really? It was cheap but i wouldn't recommend going.
Covid restrictions
Overall good experience. Fairly organized and players spaced out with tee off times. Bunkers need some work , but no real complaints given the restrictions
Played this course before and it’s really not great even for a muni. Since covid I’ve played 4 courses and the rough was absolutely unplayable only here.
Hot and Rough
The course was good and had fun. The rough could use some trimming however.
Great value!
Played the Martin Course. Great course. Hard to find balls in the grass and lots of loose cut grass around making them harder to find. Beyond that it was good. Always like this course.
Too Rough
I quit after a frustrating 9 holes today as if you get into the rough you can lose a ball every hole and even if you try to hack it out, it's impossible from most lies. So, no fun in playing the game seriously. You try to keep it out of the rough but we aren't pro-golfers. I won't come back even at the cheap price I paid
Better Experience
Last round at Cherokee there was a large number of idiotic golfers. This round was enjoyable a moved quickly. Only experience one foursome this time who were clueless to the rules of golf.
Course in good shape, particularly the greens, some tee pads need work. One suggestion for next season is grading, filling and improving cart paths near and around greens. Deep ruts are hard on the carts and not very pretty.
Good value - mid - high handicap special
Not a bad course for a practice round, nothing special but good value. Rough was a bit long and hard to find balls, tee blocks were fairly bare. Good value for cheap though.
Course is easy and good
Course is good and easy so this course good for beginner.
Slow Play
No course rangers to assist pace of play. Experienced this issue 3 times this year. Today fore some in front of us had no players in front of them, numerous times 3 players exited the green with 1 player still driving about looking for his ball and finishing while rest of his group stood on next tee preparing to tee off.
Golf etiquette these days lacking severely, main reason rangers needed to help educate these golfers. To may times witnessed groups in heated arguments regarding slow play. Also golfers not repairing fairway and green divits. Job of a ranger to control.
Course rangers are only really on the course to make sure you did not sneak on the course etc.. They are only there to protect the interests of the course...that is why they never, ever help. The personal interests of the ranger are to look for balls and too oogle the cart girl..They are usless!!!!!!!
