Very good golf course with challenge. Strong recommended
Excellent condition and great value
Given the dry weather this summer, the course is in a very good condition. Greens are bit slow due to late rain falls. This course is a great value given the price. Every hole is different and you have to play position golf here.
Local Course still a Fan Favourite
First time playing here in many years. The staff were very pleasant upon arrival. We played late morning and the pace of play was very good. Completed in just under 4 hours. The only thing that I truly disliked was the tee boxes. I found them to be in rough shape. The fairways were in good shape considering all the heat we have been having, the rough was fairly dry, the traps were in pretty good shape (accept for the green side bunker on #2) and finally the greens were in good shape, just slow to me. Course layout is excellent with both left and right doglegs. Definitely a course we will return to.
Great day of golf
It was a little hot that day. But the coarse was in great condition. There was a little emergency ahead of our foursome which slowed things down a little, but not too much. It gave us a little time to enjoy the scenery around us. The coarse is tough as I remembered, but I have always loved the challenge. I will definitely be back this year for another round!
Covid 18 golf
This is such a great course. The greens were a little slow. But I always appreciate this course for its beauty. Can't wait to play again soon.
beautiful course but laking a marchal
Very nice but we were behind a foursome that would play about 4 balls each t-off. People told them to stop but wouldnt and no marshall intervened. We just passed them and skip that hole.
Golf fit for a King @ King’s Forest
Your first impression? ‘This is a city course, I don’t expect much’
From the moment you park & walk up to the clubhouse, noticing the practice greens for your putting game—-to the care the staff take into looking after the surrounding environment of plant life & annual flowers—-you realize this isn’t just a city course!
The course conditions are top notch, from your softened steps on tee boxes to the well maintained fairways with views you don’t get at most courses around southern Ontario, let alone Canada, as you walk along the natural background that is the escarpment.
I drive just under an hour for this course, without hesitation, as I think we all agree the golf prices around the GTA are ridiculous, especially for some courses & the conditions they sell to us.
King’s Forest & the city of Hamilton take great care in providing conditions fit for a world class golf course, which is also challenging to play. If you’re looking for a new course to consider playing regularly then this is a course you should tryout.
