Dating back to 1973, King's Forest Golf Course in Hamilton is among the top public golf courses in Ontario. The conditions are top-notch especially for a municipal course, and Ontario Golf Magazine has recognized King's Forest as a "Hidden Gem." King's Forest has hosted the Canadian Junior Golf Association Ontario finals, the Ontario Men's Amateur Championship Qualifier and the Ontario Men's Amateur Championship.

Marshal
Pace of play in front of us 4 some playing for money was holding all the groups. We spoke to marshall and he drove away after we asked him why the slow play at the 12th hole. Should have told the group ahead to move quicker. There we 2 holes empty.
Great course
Definitely worth playing. Very beautiful course with some excellent holes. Hard not to get excited standing on the 11th tee box.
Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back this year.
Challenging. If only the greens were better.
Fantastic course. Interesting, challenging holes. If they fixed 2 things it would be 5 star...the Greens are very slow for course this nice, and facilities / staff are abysmal. Run down and unhelpful. If playing during covid...be warned there is NO WATER OR DRINKS OF ANY KIND. Very hilly so if walking during heat bring LOTS of water!!!
Disappointing
Hamilton is under strict water rationing yet the golf course had sprinklers going all over and was soaking wet. You could almost plug a ball in the greens. You expect a bounce and it goes splat. Pace was fine, the weather was 95 and humid but course conditions were not good. I will not play there again this year.
The greens are usually fast but because of the heat they were all watered down making them very slow.

Course in great shape
I haven’t played here for a few years but I feel the course was in much better shape than I remember, it’s a challenging course great for practising your course management !
Great Course
Had a great round. Course was in decent shape. Was really hot out there . Wish cart girl was out so you could buy drinks
Friendly, but Rough
Lovely staff at this course, and the course has the potential to be beautiful, but COVId has forced some changes that are not great. They are relying on rain right now for watering, and the course in general looks rough and is very dry. The holes remain challenging, but fun!
Still the best course in Hamilton
A beautiful day at King's forest despite Covid-19 safety measures and restrictions. Just need the beers !! ;)
Very Scenic
Course is in great shape, pace of play was spot on. Greens slightly on slower side. A good tough test of golf with a beautiful layout.
Nice challenging course
Enjoyed the course, stay on the fairway or risk losing a ball in the rough. Greens are slow, but playable. Will return for sure
