way too busy!!!!!!!!!!
My friend and I played kings forest on a Sunday @ 1:56 . I got home at 8:00. I only live 10 min. away. It was so busy there was 12 of us (a twelvesome) all standing at the 3rd tee waiting for 4 staff members in front to finish the par three. It was brutal. I don't like the way they rerouted the creek going through hole 11. All in all I was not happy with the way the day turned out . it was very frustrating to pay good money and have it so bottled up. its rediculous I wish I got a rebate. Never again!!
Great value. Cut out of the valley next to the escarpment.
The 11th has a breathtaking view. The marshall was nowhere to be found on the course - slow play resulted in a five hour round. The foursome ahead played the blacks and had no business doing so - searching for lost balls on every hole. Will come back, but hope the starter or course marshall will encourage high handicappers to use the whites, which are enough challenge at 6,400 yards. I know, I am a high handicapper.
Great
Straight off the tee is essential. Lots of naturalized areas and mature trees make errant shots an adventure. I played the blue tees and it is plenty long even for big hitters. The course was in excellent condition and I can see why it's one of the top rated public courses around.
Nice walking track
This course is quite comfortable to walk. The challenge is moderate. The guide book is very helpful. The staff is super friendly. I will play here again
Very Tight
Well kept course. Tight but will favour a right handed draw. Greens break away from the escarpment.
Big course... undoubted GREAT VALUE!
This is as good as most private clubs and definitely you will be pushed hard to play to your Cap!!
great public course
great course, not an easy walking course, greens were very slow
this course is not for beginners
Although the deal I received was good, I was truly mislead with the price when I got to the golf couse. The price we were paying did not include cart which was not specified on the golf now site.
Very challenging hilly course
An excellent layout with many elevation changes. Many holes are down/up hill maybe half are sort of flat. New creek changes make the 13th very difficult ... many trees to make driving difficult ... greens were very slow ... not sure if they had been cut recently (too much rain?) Really worth a play>
Challenging
This city course is long challenging and mature, and is a pleasure to play, lots of elevation changes .
best value from hamilton to toronto!!!!!!!
This course never disappoints! Outstanding value, and a real test, mans course!!!!!!
It was a very slow round this time, however I think it was because of the heat, 37 degrees and windy conditions. Still shot 82 and would recommend this course to anyone!!!!
Course with character
Such a beautiful course with tons of character. Such a variety of shots you have to play throughout the course. Amazing scenery as the course is cut out of the forest. It is a very challenging course from the tips and your game has to be on to play well. The shorter tees make the course challenging yet playable for the amateur player to enjoy. Definitely a course to experience in the Hamilton location. The course was also a qualifier for the Canadian Open last year in 2012!
Good escartment course
Good day other than the experience in pro shop. At check-in, I was informed that the entire group has to be with GolfNow. I bought a single on GolfNow and my two friends had a 2 for 1 coupon. He was going to charge me full price because we all had to be GolfNow. This was my first GolfNow experience, and it wasn't pleasant!
It's called King's FOREST, for a reason!
We played from the tips, almost 7200 yards. It's apparent why the course was used for qualifying pros for the Canadian Open in 2012. It requires thinking each hole through and smart ball placement.
Great value in a local, public golf course!
I had forgotten how wonderful this golf course was with it's
changing topography, huge challenging greens and surrounding
scenery below the escarpment. It's a course one would never
tire of playing. Adding to it all was the friendliness of the pro shop and starters. I'm glad this course is on the "golfnow.com" list!
Afternoon Weekend Tee off with course full so play a little slow
Overall experience was good. Challenging course. Greens were well maintained.
The course is aways a pleasure to play.
This course is a must play. The holes are very well seperated, especially the back nine. Hole # 11 is one of the top 5 holes to play in the GTA in my opinion.
Not worth the price many other options
Greens are on slow side and bumpy.Always have to battle with slow play here.
Very challenging
Greens and fairways in much better condition than when I last played{last year}
