Hornby Glen Golf Course
About
Situated at the base of Halton Hills, Hornby Glen Golf Course was built upon rolling, wide-open terrain. This affordable public course offers the quality and many of the amenities of a private club, including a clubhouse and pro shop. The tumbling landscape provides undulating fairways and expansive, rolling greens where players are likely to three-putt if not patient. Despite the golf course's hilliness, it is surprisingly easy to walk. The layout is gentle enough for beginners but it also provides an excellent way for more advanced golfers to work on their short game. The par-4 eighth is Hornby Glen Golf Course's signature hole, known for the long ravine that appears halfway down the fairway where if you get stuck, you'll be facing a blind shot to the green.

Slow pace
Always waiting. People just have no etiquette on what it means to play golf. Every hole was a 10min wait. 5 1/2hrs to play a round. Terrible
Awesome golf course.
Hornby Glen golf course ranks among the top three courses I’ve played in North America, offering exceptional value and pristine fairway and green conditions. The course presents a moderate challenge that’s just right for honing or testing one’s skills. The staff’s kindness is noteworthy. I’m eager to return and would highly recommend it to my friends.
decent
This is the best Value for money course in the area in my opinion. worth the money to walk. shout out to Sunday's starter for keeping pace moving.
Hornby Glen
Very middle of the road course. Definitely not worth the $105.00 per round.
Decent but not worth it
Decent course but not worth the price - too expensive for an average course
I would only recommend this course if you haven’t played it but I wouldn’t go back for the price. Look for a deal if you’re able
Not too difficult
I got a good price and haven't played HG in a few years. I rated the course conditions as fair because the rough was really deep. I lost 2 balls that stayed in play. The greens were very slow, but that may be due to spring golf or the course is too wet. I wouldn't pay full price for this course and I don't think there's anything special about it. But it's not terrible.
Happy it's open once again
I really enjoy this course as it's close to home. Play it 1-2 times a season when it was open over the years. Looks like Golf North is now managing the course, which will hopefully have it open all season long. The conditions were very wet the day we played and the price charged did not align with the conditions. That's why I gave it a fair rating for conditions and value. I know everything went up but this should be a $60 walking course at max. There are others that I would rather golf for a $80 price tag. If the price was was more reasonable I'd play this 8 times a season.
