Great course, great pace of play
Friday afternoon, played with a threesome, great course, great company, hardly anyone around
This place is perfect, no too many out, reasonable pace of play

Nice Open Course
Got a Hot Deals tee time and wanted to check this out, the tee time was at 2:00pm, later than usual but the course was empty so I got to play solo. I had one person in front of me and one person behind me but we quickly spread out so no rush from a group behind me or waiting for someone in front of me. I managed to finish my round in around 3 hours for a full 18 holes which might be tempting to play later rounds again.
The course itself is nice, very open fairway allowing for big drive opportunities but also lots of hazards on certain holes so you can still hit into trouble. But if you set up your shots you can have a very good round. The greens were moderately fast and well groomed and not too tough to read. The fairways were in solid condition a few muddy spots but nothing major. It was nice to see the carts having dirt and sand provided to refill divots.
The one small downfall like others have said is no sign of the cart girl, could have been a slow day since no one was really on the course but it was hot. I took this into consideration from other reviews and made sure to have drinks before I went out for the first 9 and got more on the turn around.
Other than that small issue I really enjoyed this course and would definitely play this again.
Rough shape but has potential
Condition of the course was disappointing. Fairways had a number of dead patches. I like the layout of the course and it seems like it was much better in the past, but now it seems to be neglected. Although It was not busy, we were stuck behind a group that fell well behind but there was no Marshall to speed them up. At $90 there are many better options for the cost.
1st time but not last time
Finally played this course and will again.
Really good tee boxes and greens and nice putting green to practice before the round.
Disappointed of the grass being cut recently and lots of clippings in the fairways especially being a private course.
Seemed not many were on the course so didn’t see a a Marshall or cart girl. Caught up to a member playing 18 and was very friendly.
Beings so close to home will definitely play again !
Mature Course
Great course, as it has lots of mature trees and areas. The course has some character, and a good pace of play with a good mix of long par 4's. The one big next time, is a cart person as it was Saturday and the temp was around 32 to 35 degrees, it would have been nice to have some water or a cold beer!
So close to really good
Greens are in amazing shape, true rolls smooth, a touch soft but still really good. Fairways are in really good shape, a few tee boxes are in used condition.
What mystifies me about this place is the staff and the replay policy.
If we are there, good golfers, proper etiquette, spending money on food and drinks, why is there no replay rate?? The course is not busy. Instead they make you pay full price for the greens fee and the cart, and there almost put off that you would ask if there is a replay rate. I think they are annoyed that they can't remain fully private maybe?
Doesn't make sense. Would spend more money on food and beverages.
Otherwise a good place to play. No beverage cart though.
Very Accomodating Staff
staff was very friendly and unfortunately, the only disappointment was the lack of an on course beverage cart. conditions were excellent.. save for the slightly overgrown tee boxes, and the soft fairways.. green speeds were very consistent. overall a fun day at a mature, and well-operated venue.
my favourite local option
My favourite place to play golf in Toronto.
Greens rolling fast and true - love the greens.
Lots of variety in the course layout. This place is all about the golf - the price is right and the test for a mid-handicapper like myself is just right.
Value for money
challenging course... better signage needed to direct players who have never played here to the next hole. overall very happy with course, pace of play and layout. worth the money for sure.
Hidden Gem
I love the way old courses were designed, and this one is a hidden gem. The course is in great shape. Lot's of fun to play. I'll definitely be going back.
WyleWood Golf Course
I have viewed this course from Royal Ontario next door, got the chance to play it on Friday, no-one around on a Friday afternoon, it is in great shape, some challenging holes and will certainly come back, need a couple of rounds to know where NOT to hit the ball.
The staff are great, very friendly, better value than the Kaneff venue next door
What a course, such value
Three hours on a Monday to play the best course nobody knows about. Book it and play it.
Good value
Course was in great shape offering good challenges. Would like to play again now knowing the layout & the unknown. Greens in excellent & very fast. Fairways in great shape.
Saturday Round
Course was good value for money . Course conditions could be improved
Snack bar at turn was extremely slow , no lounge for post round etc
Good location for golf only, in and out
Wow!
Beautiful little gem tucked away in the top of Oakville. Pristine fairways, greens about a 12 on the stimp meter... and we, basically had the course to ourselves!
The course is very challenging and when the assistant pro tells you to play from the Whites, unless you have a handicap of 7 or less??? Believe him!
The only negatives (and they are very big ones)
- No cart girl, but understandable if you are the only ones on the course... lol
- No Player Assistant, which would've come in handy because of the group we caught who were trying (and failing miserably) to play from the "BLUES"!!!
Tree lined course with great greens
Clubhouse is dated but course is one of my favourites. Course working on 2 holes but once all is done, it will be fantastic.
Better than i thought
When pulling in, the course didn't really look very promising. The club house is old and the 'driving range' looks like it was forgotten many years ago. However the course itself is really quite nice and since it is semi private and the fact we played on a Monday, it was almost like we had the course to ourselves. It was really quite and for the most part the course is beautiful. one of the holes was in the midst of construction but it didn't really bother us. I would definitely play there again
