Pretty Course
Positives: Nice, old course, layout with good sand straps, and a nice scenic layout. Negatives: tee boxes are not flat and greens are inconsistent with some having winter burns.
Keep it on the fairway.
Not a super long course but it’s pretty tight in places... tiny greens so you have to throw darts. A good test of your iron shots and if you can draw it right to left then you should be in great shape all day.
Really enjoy this course
3rd time playing here. It was a cool but beautiful late fall day. The fairways are soft, and the greens still firm and fast. The slopes of greens can be fairly subtle, and tricky and it doesn't require much of a mistake to leave yourself a lengthy 2nd putt.
Lots of interesting holes with some elevation changes, but a nice course to walk.
Great value
1st time playing this course. For $50 tax in it is great value.
Fairways and greens were in fantastic shape. The greens were super fast but rolled perfectly.
The fairways were soft in some spots but it was like walking on soft carpet.
Driving range is not very good but .... I wasnt there to practice so not an issue really. It was enough to get a few iron swings in
Its a pretty easy walk.... except for 4 short but steep hills
Pace of play was fast. 3 walkers finished in under 4 hours
Will definately play it again for that price. Plus its so close to home
Beautiful day to play a great course
It's not normally this warm in southern Ontario in October, but the weather was fantastic. Even so, the course wasn't real busy. But the slow threesome in front of my threesome made it seem like it was busy. I think there was one tee time between them & the group in front to start. At the turn there were 3 holes open ahead, but this group appeared to be looking for balls on most shots. They had zero edicate. I hate slow play. I guess that's what I get for an early afternoon tee time.
But the course was in great shape. I've played here before & will again for sure.
Enjoyable round.
Fairways and greens were in superb condition. Well placed hazards make most shots a challenge. Great value with Golf Now hot deal.
Wyldewood
Course was what you would expect for an older course. flat layout with some preety holes. the course was well watered and greens were nice,
However ,I've been playing golf all over the world for 30 years and have never had such a rude and disrespectful pro shop host.I guess not being a member of this private course and coming from golf now was frowned upon. Was very rude to us and upset us to the point we were not going to even play there! We have tried to contact the manager but were ignored basically. This course is worth about $50 - $60 max.
Thx Ray
Great Course
This was my first time playing this course. A creek that runs through the course makes certain holes very challenging. The rest of the course presents a normal level of challenge, that is if you have been playing golf for a while. This course is not for those just getting in to golf. The course gave us a great workout, given that we walked the course. I like to walk my game of golf, so I would do it again. My deal came with a practice basket of balls. My one reservation is that they didn't allow me to use the practice round at a later date. No worries, though, I still think this is a great course.
This course was in excellent condition great layout and the greens are fast .
Aerated Greens
This course is always worth playing, however it should be listed along with the booking when a course has just Aerated their Greens.
Or prices should reflect that.
Always wanted to play this course as it was previously a private club. It's very average so keep your expectations very low. The young guy working in the proshop could work on his customer service.
Yup and yup
