A difficult front 9 for the average golfer.

Unforgiving greens.

This is a course you have to enjoy and not get frustrated, not that easy to do.

But the scenery make up for the lost balls !!!

When booked and prepaid online the indication was that cart was included.

Upon checking in we were charged $15 each for a power cart despite me informing the proshop that the app indicated carts were included.

This should be cleared up.

Long and therefore can be tiring

Marshal and desk staff do not have good enough communication.

Not a super long course. But very narrow and challenging greens. Kept in very good condition. And some great sights of a few tees of the lake!

Disappointed with the pace of play management. The clubhouse staff allowed unbooked groups to play and there was a frustratingly slow pace, with our round playing at a 5 hour and 45 minute pace for 18 holes. The starters weren't paying attention to who was next and when, and seemed quite unprofessional. 

We decided to leave after just 5 holes due to the delays. Would not recommend.

Always a challenge worth taking on

I have played here 5+ times now over 2023-2024. Course conditions have improved, and some tee boxes can still use help. Greens are 95% great. Course can get backed up if you arrive on a busy day but nothing we haven't seen at most courses at these price points. Nice new carts, no driving range(one hitting net very unconvenient locatin)but the practice geen is nice. You play here for the amazing views of the lake. Highly recommend playing here atleast once!

First - very good sand bunkers, a rarity in our area. Challenging course with beautifully contoured fairways. Good variety of green complexes. The day I played, the greens were sanded but still fast and consistent. The pin placements seemed set for making putts rather than being robbed of them. There are many ugly forced carries off the tees, ranging from intimidating to impossible for sub 250 yd hitters, and balls in the rough most likely can’t be found never mind played. Carts may not be taken to the carpark for fear of its horrible condition, though in fact the cart paths are little better.. All the staff are friendly, helpful and well organised, and the bbq deck is great.

All in all, a well designed and well groomed set of holes as long as one doesn’t stray from the fairways. A magnificent setting overlooking Rice Lake and its islands whose beauty is marred only by the eyesore of the many cheek-by-jowl squat grey huts the developers rent or sell as cottages. A very worthwhile course for sub-20 handicappers and also enjoyable for others as long as they bring a boatload of balls.

Bellmere is a tough course with no "breather" holes, but still an extremely fun course to play. Crazy elevation changes make you too tough to walk, but all greens fees include a motorized cart. The green are very slick and tough, which adds to the challenge.

The only issues I have with the course are that there is no driving range and the clubhouse amenities are minimal (which is a kind way to say, virtually non-existent). But it is such a fun course, and incredible views of Rice Lake on every hole, that I doubt anyone would be disappointed with a round there. A wonderful little hidden gem of a course.

One of my favs. Will play this every year. The staff is always nice and you can beat the course conditions!! Great Work

Not set up to receive and greet guests. The clubhouse process was excellent - figuring out who was in charge outside / greeting / carts etc was messed up. Not enough parking.
