Situated in the center of Kawarthas on the northern shore of Rice Lake, Bellmere Winds Golf Club offers scenic views of the water from every hole. This 18-hole golf course features plenty of elevation changes and a few doglegs added in for more challenges. The topography causes a few uneven lies, it also makes the golf course very difficult to walk, and there are also natural ditches around the narrow fairways that can be treacherous to any errant shots. All of the par 3s have a pond and there are strategically placed sand bunkers throughout. Bellmere Winds Golf Club is conveniently located only 25 minutes from Peterborough.

What a joke!
Booked tee time for 4:22 show up at 3:45 to check in and there’s 35 people standing there waiting to do the same. Finally speak to someone and he goes “oh ya were kinda backed up..” I said how long he goes 20 minutes I’m like okay not the end of the world. Until me and everyone else was still standing there 35 minutes later!! They have 20 carts sitting in the parking lot broken so they don’t have enough carts for everyone so everyone’s waiting on the 18th hole to get a cart and start playing. No offer for a discount or free round nothing!!! Only got to play 9 but was forced to pay for 18.. will never ever go back!!

Great course, challenging holes but the bunkers and golf cart paths could use some work.

Beautiful view!!
This picturesque course is one you must see for yourself. Fairways and rough play well and are well maintained. Only negative thing I could say is the bunkers need a lot of work. But who wants to be in the bunker anyway.

Good Round
Arrived 25 minutes early. Was paired with three others. Finished the round in 4.5 hours. Course was better than expected.

Truly is a beautiful course with only 2 real drawbacks......because of Covid sand traps are not maintained and are basically a joke......w/o a discount/coupon it's an expensive outing.
Very Disappointed
They didn't have enough carts for our group so we waited for 20 minutes or more for a cart. When 2 carts became available the staff member cleaning the cart was texting on his phone instead of getting the carts ready. We waited an extra 5 minutes until an older staff member came to clean them.
Pace of play is always TERRIBLE here, the man in the proshop let a group of 6 AND a group of 12 out earlier. We waited on every single shot except for putts.
The course is in decent shape, the greens were fast but honestly I would rather just drive there to see the view of rice lake and leave.

One of the best GOLF courses near Toronto!
The staff were super friendly and helpful, we actually booked last minute and 2 separate reservations but they were kind enough to allow us to go and play together. Breathtaking views and easily one of the best golf courses to play on. I look forward to more trips over here, had an amazing time!
