About
Situated in the center of Kawarthas on the northern shore of Rice Lake, Bellmere Winds Golf Club offers scenic views of the water from every hole. This 18-hole golf course features plenty of elevation changes and a few doglegs added in for more challenges. The topography causes a few uneven lies, it also makes the golf course very difficult to walk, and there are also natural ditches around the narrow fairways that can be treacherous to any errant shots. All of the par 3s have a pond and there are strategically placed sand bunkers throughout. Bellmere Winds Golf Club is conveniently located only 25 minutes from Peterborough.

We did not finish two of the three rounds we played because of the pace of play. They are part of cottage resort and give free rounds to buyers. we got behind people who should not be learning on this type of course and have no golf etiquette. with everyone wanting their own carts, even when they have been standing in a group waiting for carts, backed up later tee times. Very frustrating Its a nice course, and our go to when we are in the area, but slow play needs to be addressed.
Always a challenge
Too many people in too tight bookings
One day, maybe, they'll have good amenities; until then, the course and the view remain the draws

Lovely landscape great view of Rice Lake challenging course greens are quick and true.
A lot of fun to play
My first time here and I was impressed with the overall layout of the course. The fairways are quite narrow on the front 9 with some pretty thick weeds along it’s borders, so for the driver who slices you can pretty well kiss those balls goodbye. The roughs need attention as parts have grown quite large which disrupts the views and Playability of the course. The back 9 is very well maintained with some challenging, yet fun holes to play with friends. The carts are new with GPS tracking to ensure you stay on the proper path but i found it stalls even when on the cart path which definitely slows play. The greens on the par 3s are filled with divots , which leads me to believe rules are loosely enforced. Overall good course for the price !

This course is in the best shape and has amazing fees from every hole. Love it!
Slow play
It's a resort course and a good price. Three times played this summer. Pace of place is bad. Too many players who play a few times a summer. No course etiquette. Almost 5 hours!

Slow play
Course is in great shape. Needs better signage to next tee. Very slow twosome in front of my twosome. A foursome in front of them were 1 holes ahead!
Need to Speed Up Play!
Great course but terrible pace of play especially on the front nine made the round much less enjoyable. Perhaps need to reduce number of tee times and space them out further. Would love to play the course again if this can be rectified.
