A Tale of Two Courses
The course has two distinct sections, each on their respective sides of the highway. Unfortunately, the section to the south is basically a marshland, and is a severe weak point for the layout of the golf course.
You must hit the ball straight and place your shots to score well
A good mix of wide open length on some holes and tight placement on other holes. The rough and the wet lands will catch you if you don't keep the ball in the fairway. There are no gimme holes on this course.
Very nice course. Awful layout
Course was great. Greens rolled true. A lot of long walks between holes. Groups in carts caught up to us just on the walk alone.
The 9th finishes way away from the clubhouse as we were going to grab cart but didn’t pass back until it was too late.
We played 5 holes and ran into a 4 group backup on a par 5. We discovered that they had 5 tournaments that day and that hole was the longest drive. Fortunately the pro shop was great and offered us rain checks which we readily accepted.
Doon 18 holes
Not soaked, fairways actually running with a good tee shot and the greens just need a bit more time to grow in fully from the air raid, worth playing for sure.
Getting very expensive.
I was lucky to get a good hot deal with this course using golf now. Golf now prices are horrible and have been rising. Doon Valley prices have gone up as well. Expect to pay anywhere from $55 to $65 to play this average course. I booked a 5:54pm tee time expecting to not finish all 18 holes because Doon has a habit of booking as many tee times as possible late in the evening making the course hard to finish with the over booking. But to my surprise I was able to finish in a timely fashion because on this rare occasion the course was empty. Nice course layout and it was in the best condition I have ever seen it. I recommend playing this course but not booking though golf now because you wont save any money using the app. Recomend Doon, exit and delete golf now app because its becoming pointless and the rewards aren't rewards at all.
Overall challenging course
Good value for course. Spread out so you really need a power cart to keep in time.
Nice maintained course
Played there when it was only 18 holes and now have 27. Changes are very well done and the course is well maintained. I would love to go back.
Not a difficult course but in good shape
Great beginner course!! Very simple layout with open fairways and just a few obstacles. Course is in great shape.

Very hot day so a cart was neèded. The course was in excèllent shape.
Great City Course
Great challenge. Anyone who tells you this is easy is either a pro or not telling the truth. From the blue tees it requires management and patience. For high handicappers very difficult and bring lots of balls. Lots of areas to get into trouble. Play your approach to the front always. Long is trouble and will most likely end up with a penalty.
