This course has it all
Cart is a must! Too far between green to tee, unless you enjoy long walk.
great course
Great course. Holes are nice but spaced out quite far at times. If you normally carry you might want to rent a pull cart. Greens were nice and soft. Tee blocks are good for the most part. Nice to hit the range before the first tee block. Starters were hit and miss, one round I had a really good friendly person, next round the guy was snarky and totally miserable. Overall I would recommend, either the new 18 or classic 9
Oct. 5 - Doon Valley
My wife and I played Doon for the first time on Thursday. Beautiful day.
We were told that there were not many players on the course and everything went well on the front 9. Course was in great shape. We started the back nine and on the 13th tee a couple, walking, showed up out of the blue. Had not seen them ever before.
Their play was slow and at that point we abandoned the rest of our round. It was just going to take too long to complete.
We would go back again, but not this year.
Good course... long walk.
I've played Doon quite a few times... always enjoy it... some of the holes are fairly far apart so it adds yardage for the walkers.
Course is always in good shape, a variety of hole styles and lengths. Definitely worth the price.
Saturday Stroll
course in great shape, challenging and plenty of walking for a hot day
Doon on Monday
We enjoyed the course and we were happy to have used a power cart due to the considerable distance between some holes and a few hills to climb. The course is in very good shape and the layout is varied and interesting
Good course for the price
The course was in very good condition and the price was right!!!
The down fall was the constant hum of the traffic from the 401 Highway!!
Best hole on the course is 18 ....which most of us figure is going to be an amazing hole and without dismay is was!!!!
awesome deal! $13.00 (plus cart) to play a challenging golf course.
nice day - good round
great price , good pace for a Sunday afternoon , course in good shape .
Nice course, poor pace and unfriendly staff
Course has some challenging holes and was in good shape. Issues were with workers who didn't want to help speed up the pace of play. There were 5 twosomes stuck behind 3 foursomes. Near the 10th hole two groups actually turned into an eightsome!! Round took almost 5 hours to play because of poor golf etiquette and staff unwilling to help. There was never a ranger on the course. Complained to staff inside but none of the 5 workers wanted to do anything.
Challenging and fun
We walked the course and definitely got a lot of steps in. There are long distances between some holes but we were ok with that. Some fairways were really hard making for some interesting/unpredictable bounces. Overall, good experience!
Remarkable flood recovery
Played the course shortly after reopening due to flooding of the Grand river and I could barely tell anything happened. Played a few holes on July 1st before being forced off of the course by storms. Received a rain cheque for our full 18 holes and even a pull cart one of us had rented. Course was fantastic. Only recommendation I give is to rent a power cart. There is a fair amount of extra walking between a few holes which would have been a bit painful if we hadn't traded up for a power cart on the second day.
Great day!
This was the first time playing this course since they expanded to the far side of the 401. Found course and staff very fair and helpful. Enjoyable day and would go back again. Thankyou!!
Back in Shape
Thecourse had extensive flooding from the Grand River overflowing earlier in the year, but you would barely know it. Sand traps have nice new sand and we're playing well
