Unfriendly reception
I arrived at the course 30 min before tee time. Pro shop refused to check me in, telling me that I need to come back in 10 min because they only check in 20 min prior to tee time. Really??!! Told me to go away and come back in 10 min. What a welcome reception.
Starter said try to keep the round under 4 hours, I wish. Waited on every hole, no marshal in sight. It was a 5 hour round, at times two groups waiting at the tee.
Definitely will not come back!!

Some staff could be more welcoming.
Being my first time here, I found a couple of staff not so welcoming. They seem very regimented and was more concerned about getting to you to move on. No smiling or friendliness... Not a great impression for a first time visitor to the course, it really impacts the experience.

Was paired with a couple of other players, very good playing partners. Did finish in 4 hours but pace was not the greatest. Got to the 10th tee and were two groups there that were starting their round, never seen that before at Granite Ridge. Luckily, they allowed us to play through. Never saw a Marshall but did play through two very slow groups. Granite Ridge is a really nice course, long rough though. Always enjoy playing there. Oh, and bring lots of golf balls if you tend to slice or hook!!

We’ve played this course many times. Course was extremely busy. Start time was 12 minutes late. We waited at least that long on every tee. We didn’t have a single shot all day that we didn’t have to wait. Round took almost five hours. There was no Marshall on duty to monitor pace of play. Slow golf isn’t fun. We probably won’t be back.
