Lowville Golf Club
About
Tucked away in the scenic Niagara Escarpment, Lowville Golf Club offers scenic views of the greater Toronto area. The layout blends seamlessly with the natural landscape, creating a picturesque golf setting that the Toronto Star's "Bogey Man" has touted as the most scenic in the area. The golf course has also received top honors from the same publication as the most improved club. This challenging, 18-hole course features several downhill tee shots that can really carry, making it a fun course for long hitters. Lowville Golf Club's 12th hole is notably entertaining. It is a long par-5 that requires a long carry off the tee to a tricky green.

Sandy not a friendly person, felt very pressured and rushed, would not come back to this course, all they got is nice scenery
Great course, amazing views
It will be a challenging course for beginners but if you have a solid first shot, you'll enjoy the layouts. Very well maintained and will be heading back for more rounds.
Twilight Restrictions
Played a twilight round starting at 5:20, the price was $37 for 9 holes only 18 wasn’t even an option. I expected this was just a formality and we could play as many as we could before it got dark, Nope they stopped us at 11 holes at 7:40 way before dark.
Annoying Marshal
The Marshal was annoying and kept telling us we were 5 minutes behind pace despite the fact that we played within 4 hours and finished before the rain on Sunday. The group behind us was more than hole behind us as well and they didn't even finish there round because of the rain on Sunday. Also found it funny that the course had two employers (bouncers) guarding club house when it started raining and not letting customers seek cover. I won't be back.
Annoying Marshall
Beautiful course. But I had a terrible experience along with my group. We were a group of 4 and we walked the course for the intended exercise. The group in front of us was a group of 3 in carts which we didn’t not catch up to. The group behind us was of 3 as well with carts. They waited on 4 holes for us to move during the entire round, and for very little time. The marshal followed us for the entire front 9 constantly asking for us to pick up the pace, and also threw out some of the back 9. It is incredibly annoying to be hounded like this especially when you pay good money to play, and we were at a good pace. It took us 3 hours and a half to play, I’m pretty sure that’s a decent pace of play. I’ll never play here again
A great day for golf!
My friends and I enjoyed a great day of golf yesterday (July 17/20). We teed off early to avoid a very hot humid day. The pace of play was very good. No waiting at any of the holes. The course was in really good shape. There was some areas that was quite dry as we have had consistent days of hot humid weather with not much rain. Very understandable.
back after 30 years
remembered the course as a goat park- real hard ground and tough walk...
30 years later the course has mature nicely - very good conditions. impress with the speed of the greens.
...still a tough walk -:)
Good day at Lowville
Good day golfing at Lowville. The Covid protocols were solid, but the tone of the messaging around not bringing personal beverages to the course was a little stern. The person at the gate spoke to us in a way that made us feel talked down to (we didn't bring anything to the course with us outside of my partner bringing a gatorade). Then when we were on the course we didn't see the on course drink cart more than once, which was disappointing. Other than that the course was in good shape.
Lowville
Amazing course we were very impressed with the quality and the elevated views of the course. Great bang for your buck and would highly recommend to anyone.
Golfed at Lowville Sunday July 20th 2020. Sky turned black at 12:30 received tornado warnings on our cell phones. No horn sounded by the course. Drove back to clubhouse in cart in horrendous conditions.
Clubhouse employee would not let us inside said go to your car. In other words we won't blow the horn to warn golfers of dangerous weather and deal with tornado conditions yourself outside.
Total joke. They blew the horn after we luckily got back to the clubhouse which was at least 20 minutes too late. Pathetic management put us in an unsafe situation.
If bad weather is approaching blow the horn so we can all be safe.
Won't go back there. Dangerous place. Poorly managed.
Courses are supposed to be monitoring radar for dangerous weather and properly notify golfers of dangerous conditions. When we get an alert on our cell phones 20 minutes before a warning is sounded by management when the sky is black and can't see 1 inch in front of you then that is a big problem.
Risking my life going to this course again is not high on my agenda.
