Lowville Golf Club
About
Tucked away in the scenic Niagara Escarpment, Lowville Golf Club offers scenic views of the greater Toronto area. The layout blends seamlessly with the natural landscape, creating a picturesque golf setting that the Toronto Star's "Bogey Man" has touted as the most scenic in the area. The golf course has also received top honors from the same publication as the most improved club. This challenging, 18-hole course features several downhill tee shots that can really carry, making it a fun course for long hitters. Lowville Golf Club's 12th hole is notably entertaining. It is a long par-5 that requires a long carry off the tee to a tricky green.

High on Lowville
Haven't played Lowville in several years and very pleased that I returned. The course was in excellent condition and by the looks of things they recently cut back most of the fescue. With the fescue cut back the course was more enjoyable for those in my group that didn't always find the fairway. Kudos to the marshals for maintaining a respectable pace of play, though the starter was a little over anxious sending groups out. Expecting a group of 4 with a walker to keep up with a twosome in a cart is a little ambitious. Overall we loved our visit to Lowville!
Great condition
I've played the course on numerous occasions, and it's never been in better shape. The greens, although difficult to read at times (everything's seems to break towards the church) roll very nicely. I've read some reviews of poor marshaling and I can say on the numerous times I've played this course the pace of play has been great aside from the few times I've been stuck behind a tournament. It's not really up to the marshal to let you play through as long as the pace is kept. Will and continue to play there. It's a great public course.
Great deal and Conditions, saw my first Ace!
Played this course countless times since my early days of golfing (late 70's) and it has only seen improvement since those days. Haven't walked it in a long time and we knew we were in for a tough haul on a hot day. My playing partner (brother) eagled #12 and followed that up with his first hole in one on #13!! A 9 iron from 154 yds.!! We were talking before that about him having his worst score ever (137) way back when and now it is very memorable for another reason!! Amazing views from the escarpment with lots of elevation changes....but it would be nice to have some water available for the walkers!
Lowville
The course was in beautiful condition and the staff was extrememly friendly. I have played here a couple times over the years and it seems to get better every time. I can't wait to go back.
Hilly but scenic
This course is a nice riding course for an intermediate player. Good value for the money.
Great value for the money,
Good golf course. The only issue was they need to get the bunkers in better shape, I was in them a lot :) and it was like hitting from concrete.
Good Course but attention to detail!
We golfed Lowville this father's day and had a great time but the following needs improvement:
•cart signs on some fairways are positioned incorrectly which caused havoc. One hole they have you driving right in front of another tee box which if you are not paying attention, you could get hit by the group teeing off.
•12th hole (I believe ) Needs to have a bell notifying the next group when it's safe to hit. As the group behind us was hitting as they couldn't see us. Even the Marshall told them to hot and when the Marshall came by as we yelled at the group he also thought we were in the clear!
Overall, good course and excellent value for the green fees.

Very picturesque
Course was in great shape, 5 hour round...............thats the only disappointment. If you are walking it is not an easy stroll.
Great Value
Great course. Not far from GTA, with great views and speed of play. Course os challenging but not impossible for the intermediate golfer.
Good views
I was the first time played at this course but I enjoyed 18 beautiful course views.
Also it is good challenges for the intermediate golfer.
Great course; Walkers nightmare!
Went out with my father and we were both quite surprised with the condition of this golf course. It's in great shape! Neither of us had played this course, but we'll definitely return! I thought it was a tough walk for 18, so we'll definitely take a cart next time. No problem with the pace of play, but, to be fair, we were playing on a Wednesday afternoon. We both had lots of fun! Thanks for a great round!
Great experience
This was a beautifully maintained course with amazing views of the countryside and escarpment. The course itself seemed a little forgiving, which I didn't mind being a bogey golfer.
The greens were a good speed, not too fast or too slow. There were a few soggy spots on the course; however we had got a nasty downpour the night prior.
Great selection of beverages, and the sausage I got at the club house was one of the best I've had in a golf course. I would come back to Lowville in a heartbeat.
Not sure what the regular green fees are here, but my foursome got what we thought was a good deal, and seemed to translate to a great value for our dollar.
Nice Course
Course layout has a bit of everything. All long par 4's are designed to be downhill, so the course is very player friendly. Rather enjoyed my round. I look forward to playing there again.
Lowville
Tough course to walk, but good exercise if you're up for the challenge. The way some of the holes are situated in reference to the escarpment (and large elevation changes on the holes) can play tricks on your eyes when reading the greens.
Overall great experience
Course was in good condition, one green being patched but in general greens were in good shape and ran faster than anticipated. Staff was great, made it a fun day- no hassles. Book through the course website and get replay for cart cost.
Lowville
Great Course. Played here for years. The value is worth it. Staff is friendly, food is good.
Great Shape - tough greens
Course was in great shape and will only get better as spring progresses. As I remembered it, the greens were quite challenging from the pin placements to the overall shape of the greens which helped make for an overall fun round!
Late afternoon at Lowville
Good course with very friendly staff! I will certainly encourage groups to plan there.
Nice Walk !
Lowville, A great walk on the side of the escarpment
Good closing holes.
