About
Tucked away in the scenic Niagara Escarpment, Lowville Golf Club offers scenic views of the greater Toronto area. The layout blends seamlessly with the natural landscape, creating a picturesque golf setting that the Toronto Star's "Bogey Man" has touted as the most scenic in the area. The golf course has also received top honors from the same publication as the most improved club. This challenging, 18-hole course features several downhill tee shots that can really carry, making it a fun course for long hitters. Lowville Golf Club's 12th hole is notably entertaining. It is a long par-5 that requires a long carry off the tee to a tricky green.

Golfer Reviews
very early season opening
Frost delay 2 hrs course was very wet but to golf in March here was great will play again in summer and let you know more
Fun at Lowville
First time playing here, and it was fun. Course was in good shape, people were very friendly and accommodating, and the weather was great. It is an easy course if you hit well off the tee, but still presents challenges with your approach shots and sloping greens, We will definitely be coming back.
Lowville Golf
Course was in great shape. Cart performed well up and down the hills. Course challenging but not overly challenging. Marshalls were too aggressive trying to force us to keep up with the group ahead who were typically on the greens when we were teeing off.
Great views, good condition, fun round
Well kept course. Tight fairways - need little course management, mostly iron play, beautiful views and scenary.. Only negative is the course is mostly rolling hills, so not recommended for walking unless you want to lose lots of weight and burn calories. Hole numbers are a little confusing between some holes. But definitely recommend!
Great course
Great condition, friendly staff. Will definitely play again
very slow play
This is an excellent course but the Marshalls allowed very slow play from a group of inexperienced tournament players to ruin a beautiful day. Waiting for 10-15 minutes on almost every tee box just isn't acceptable.
Scenic course
The surrounding escarpment makes for some great back drops on a number of holes. The changes in elevation not only help the views of the escarpment but the surrounding area as well. Friendly staff and the surroundings help to make this a very challenging but fun round of golf.
Picturesque
We love the views from the tees from the niagara escarpment. Conditions are excellent.
Up and down with nice views.
Not very many flat lies and interesting greens. Course was in good condition. It seems like an easy layout, but you've got to keep in on the high side, or you'll have sidehill lies or it will roll off the fairway on some holes. Great staff.
Slow play ruined round
Course was in good shape, starter mentioned course was full, far from it.Pace of play was ridiculous, stuck behind three. groups of four with the lead group in no hurry.Called club house to complain, marshall attended but achieved no increase in pace. Will not waste any more money at Lowville.
Great conditions, slow play
Course was in great shape but pace of play ruined the round - up to 4 groups on a hole, below average golfers playing from back tees (golds), no help from the marshalls.
Waste of money
ive played this course a couple times before and never had an issue until yesterday's round. Some holes were taking about 30-40mins from the tee box to putting. Didn't have all day to play so left after 11holes!!! Also the alcohol price is the highest I have seen in GTA
Nice course
It's a good course. Greens and fairways maintained very well. Would go again.
lowville golf club
to start your staff from the time i walked in i was treated great the starter gave me a book on the course and explained about the slop on the greens .the course is in great shape, a few of the tee boxes had no grass due to all the divots left .the greens are difficult and run very fast you have a diamond in the ruff here keep up the great work i will be returning .i don't mind spending a few bucks more to enjoy your course
Over priced!!
beautiful view of the escarpment. Probably a real treat to play in the fall. That's about all the good I can say.
The negatives:
$ 60 twilight for a course that looks like it's under construction on most holes is too much. Hold up right from the first hole. At one point I noticed a line up of 8 carts waiting to go. No marshals to ensure a good pace round. Some holes play so tight that carts are driving everywhere in front of you from other fairways. Better value can be found just south of this course
Staff yells at you
Aside from the staff, I had a great time. Parked the cart on some grass (rough) next to the cart path and someone came out of the club house and yelled at our group like we were dogs. He wanted us to know we werent able to park carts there and there was a different cart path on the opposite side, however could have gotten the point across like a grown adult. Felt disrespected and threw off my game for the rest of the round.
High on Lowville
Haven't played Lowville in several years and very pleased that I returned. The course was in excellent condition and by the looks of things they recently cut back most of the fescue. With the fescue cut back the course was more enjoyable for those in my group that didn't always find the fairway. Kudos to the marshals for maintaining a respectable pace of play, though the starter was a little over anxious sending groups out. Expecting a group of 4 with a walker to keep up with a twosome in a cart is a little ambitious. Overall we loved our visit to Lowville!
Great condition
I've played the course on numerous occasions, and it's never been in better shape. The greens, although difficult to read at times (everything's seems to break towards the church) roll very nicely. I've read some reviews of poor marshaling and I can say on the numerous times I've played this course the pace of play has been great aside from the few times I've been stuck behind a tournament. It's not really up to the marshal to let you play through as long as the pace is kept. Will and continue to play there. It's a great public course.
Great deal and Conditions, saw my first Ace!
Played this course countless times since my early days of golfing (late 70's) and it has only seen improvement since those days. Haven't walked it in a long time and we knew we were in for a tough haul on a hot day. My playing partner (brother) eagled #12 and followed that up with his first hole in one on #13!! A 9 iron from 154 yds.!! We were talking before that about him having his worst score ever (137) way back when and now it is very memorable for another reason!! Amazing views from the escarpment with lots of elevation changes....but it would be nice to have some water available for the walkers!
Lowville
The course was in beautiful condition and the staff was extrememly friendly. I have played here a couple times over the years and it seems to get better every time. I can't wait to go back.
