About
Carved from 200 acres of mature forest along the Holland River just 40 minutes from downtown Toronto, Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club provides a scenic round reminiscent of those found in either Florida or the Carolinas. Neighbored by native wetlands, the golf course features water hazards on 12 holes. There are also treacherous, well placed bunkers coming into play on every hole. The par-3 third hole is notably challenging, in addition to being flanked by bunkers, it also requires a carry over a pond. Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club also features a unique seven-acre aqua driving range as well as three chipping and putting greens.

Disappointing end to Father’s Day
I took my dad out on Father’s Day to enjoy a nice day golfing.
The round was going well until we heard thunder and saw lightning in the sky, followed by rain.
We made it through 12 holes and tee’d off on the 13th and packed it in when we started to feel the rain.
After going in to the pro shop to see if we could get some sort of rain check, I felt embarrassed after the cashier called me out for only playing 12 holes. I had to follow up with the starter to inquire about a rain check.
He told me that since the golf course didn’t call anyone in, they would not be issuing any rain checks.
Our foursome spent over $400 at the course and got slapped in the face looking for some kind of rebate.
Sorry to hear that your experience wasn't what it should have been. Our Head Professional reached out to you via telephone if you're interested in discussing. Disappointing that the rain came on fathers day and that we didn't appropriately handle things when you came in off the course.

Nice Course - Highly recommend
Well maintained moderate difficulty course north of the City. The drive was well worth it as we very much enjoyed the course .. They seem to be managing Covid 19 precautionary procedures well. Staff was friendly and helpful. We plan to play it again.

Definitely some inconveniences and we are more reliant on the help of our customers to keep the course in good shape with the lack of rakes, on course garbages and no divot bottles. Thankfully everyone is helping our team out and the course remains in great shape. Hope to see you back again soon.
Perfect for a hot day.
Silverlakes Golf is a perfect course when the climate is extremely hot. With all the beautiful trees lined up left and right you feel cool and makes you swing better. The fairways are well maintained and the greens are moderate to tricky. It surely gives value in your golf experience. I'll be playing there soon again.

Just stunning
Best conditions in the GTA.
Greens are perfect - fast enough and true.
Fairways are beautiful and well maintained
Pace was 3:45 as a 3-some - albeit at 7:30am. Overall pace is always good.
No cart girl is the only downside
My 2nd time this year and will NOT be my last.

A Must Play Course
Silver Lakes, is by far, my favourite course I've played in the GTA area. Fairways and greens are immaculately maintained in spite of the pandemic. I highly recommend playing this course and is definitely more than worth the green fees

Atrocious customer service
Won't be back. They didn't have the wherewithal to muster a cup of coffee after 9 in the morning. Very very rude. We passed a lot of courses to get there from Toronto. Never again. The mosquito problems worse than ever. If you choose to play here, bring mosquito repellent and of course your own coffee, and loads of patience.
Atrocious customer service
I left the 9rh hole early for a cup of coffee. The club house door was locked, and this was after 900am. I Went through the pro shop to see if coffee was available... Back into the dining room and staff is ignoring the excuse me may I have coffee. So I leave late for the 10th hole no coffee, not even have heard a response from them.I subsequently spoke with the manager Chris whom told me how good his staff is. I live in Toronto and I pass too many other courses to abide by atrocious customer service. This would never happen at Richmond Hill Golf Club or St Andrews Valley Golf Course. It will be a very long time before I will be back. If u play here bring lots of mosquito spray, and your own coffee, and don't be to surprised if u r snubbed!
Sorry to hear about your experience. I do remember speaking with you and apologizing that you had to try two doors to get in. The panic door you tried to get into has been temperamental and although it was open in the morning occasionally does lock. Our staff do their best to service all our golfers and aim to provide a pleasant experience every visit.
We’re having the door fixed and hope you’ll give Silver Lakes another shot.
