About
Carved from 200 acres of mature forest along the Holland River just 40 minutes from downtown Toronto, Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club provides a scenic round reminiscent of those found in either Florida or the Carolinas. Neighbored by native wetlands, the golf course features water hazards on 12 holes. There are also treacherous, well placed bunkers coming into play on every hole. The par-3 third hole is notably challenging, in addition to being flanked by bunkers, it also requires a carry over a pond. Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club also features a unique seven-acre aqua driving range as well as three chipping and putting greens.

Always a treat to play in the early Spring
We usually venture up to play Silver Lakes in the mid April time frame, before our private Club opens. Good value and a decent test for an early season round.

great course and facilities
My second time playing here. Course was in great condition. A little slow at times. We ordered lunch and my son said it was the best hamburger he ever had.
Beautiful Golf Course
Silver Lakes is one of my favorite golf courses. I make sure I don't miss playing this course in every season. The fairways are excellent. Greens are perfect. Very challenging and ideal for all types of players. Each hole is different. Will play again soon.
Excellent customer service especially the Pro Shop and Marshall.

Slow play ruined our round
Returned to this course after an enjoyable round the previous year but this time our round was affected by the slow play of groups ahead of us. Starter set us off too soon behind earlier groups and marshals did not enforce the recommended time of play. An otherwise pleasantly sunny day and fair course layout was ruined by the slow play of the group ahead of us in particular. Would encourage starter to be more selective and marshals to be more diligent in enforcing pace of play.
Sorry to hear that you were frustrated with the marshalling/starting yesterday Alf. My apologies. Normally we don't have issues with starting as we only book tee times every 9 minutes as opposed to 7 or 8 minute intervals. Hopefully you did enjoy the course and that your game wasn't affected too negatively by the pace of play.
Course is in Great Shape.
Everything about the course is great except as you could find anywhere the pace of play was a little slow at just under 5 hours. The 4 some in front of us shouldn't of been hitting from the blues since they were in the woods often and really didn't hit long balls the warranted playing from the blues. Maybe the marshal should of been on them since I don't think they were told by anyone to speed it up.

Our marshalls do help out groups as much as they can to keep things moving along but there may have been multiple issues on the course the day you played. Hope to see you back at the club again soon!

A very nice course to play
The course is well maintained even during the driest weeks.
Pace is very good and we never had any problem. The course layout is great and every hole is different. Overall it is a course that I always want to come back.
However, if you play in fall, finding your balls among the fallen leaves once you are off the fairway will be a challenge.

Fantastic conditions
A very enjoyable layout. The course is well watered making for lush fairways and greens - no brown outs here during these current drought conditions. Lots of tree lined holes demand driving accuracy. Owners are very friendly.

Nicely Kept Course
The course is far from the city in Queensville. But the course is very well kept, lush greens with different views. Very scenic course.

Amazingly Green
Course is in very good shape - due to the lack of rain most courses are brown. Due to the Holland Marsh location the fairways are beautifully green. Highly recommend it.
