About
Carved from 200 acres of mature forest along the Holland River just 40 minutes from downtown Toronto, Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club provides a scenic round reminiscent of those found in either Florida or the Carolinas. Neighbored by native wetlands, the golf course features water hazards on 12 holes. There are also treacherous, well placed bunkers coming into play on every hole. The par-3 third hole is notably challenging, in addition to being flanked by bunkers, it also requires a carry over a pond. Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club also features a unique seven-acre aqua driving range as well as three chipping and putting greens.

Always a good time a Silverlakes
Always an enjoyable round a Silverlakes. Course is always maintained well. I've played here a dozen times over the years and pace of play is never an issue and course is always in great shape. Can't beat the golfnow rate for this pace. See you soon.

Great course and very well kept
We've played Silver Lakes many times. The staff is always friendly and the course is well maintained....even the bunkers (lots of sand so you can hit out properly...other courses are like hitting out of concrete). The cart girls were also available frequently since it was a hot day, so this was appreciated and they're very polite. The food at the club was also very good. They also provide a course layout so you have a good idea of any water and sand, which is very nice. We went to another course and it was very annoying...poorly marked.
Good value
Course is nice. Greens are a little beat up with divot holes.ake sure to bring big repellant. Lots of Mosquitos here.

Nice course, great value
This course will offer any level of golfer a challenge. I have played many courses around the GTA and abroad and this course can compare to most of them. The value is incredible for the level of play which it offers. Definitely will play again, want to try it when it is a little dryer out.

Wide Open Spaces
First impression was the staff were extremely friendly. From the young gentleman taking my bag and setting up my cart, the front desk staff and the Marshall who gave a quick course over view to us newcomers.
Course conditions were Excellent. Tees were clean, fairways beautiful - better than the greens I played at another local course. The greens were tight and fast.
The recent wet weather did make it a little tricky if your ball strayed to far into the rough. A little squishy.
One thing that surprised me was how forgiving the fairways were, lots of room, my impression before I played this course was that the fairways would be tight. Small mistakes could still place you on the edges of the fairways.
Overall it was a great day out. Never felt rushed by the staff or other golfers and the forgiving fairways prevented undue frustration with a bad shot because it usually left you with a decent lie.
o.k There has to be something to improve....
1: Obviously it is a choice to buy from the beverage cart - But the $$$. Crazy.
2: Buzzing Lawn Tractors they whole time.

Top notch
This course is in great condition with mature trees. Nice water hazards and well kept bunkers. It's the first time playing this course and will definitely play here again. I would also recommend this course to my friends.

Mosquito Heaven
Great course, challenging and well groomed but they have to do something about the Mosquito infestation. We were swatting away mosquito's on almost every shot. I saw golfers in shorts and was mortified think how can they even play a hole without getting bit every 10 seconds. Bug spray had no effect
Thanks for the comments JimOziel. They come out from time to time when it's muggy with no wind. It has been a drier than usual spring up until the last couple of weeks but hope that you enjoyed you game.

Always a pleasure at Silver Lakes
Everytime I play here it is a great day. Course is beautiful and challenging, pace of play is always good. Staff are friendly and courteous. My favorite course. If I lived closer I would be a member.

One of my favs
Always liked this course and find it is challenging and fair. The greens can be deceiving and they were pretty fast today. I wish they would upgrade their golf carts though.

This course is one of my favorites.
The staff provides friendly greeting from the time you park. Smiles everywhere.
The course was lush and in great shape everywhere as usual.
A well manicured, good mix of challenging holes with some very wide fairways and water hazards thrown into the mix.
Stay out of the trees, the mosquitoes are always hungry but leave you alone if you keep your ball in the short stuff.

Yes played this track a few times,its a great course,not worth the dollar amount though $77.with cart,Golf now is getting very expensive this year,will look into something different,if prices don't drop,

Course has lost its luster
This course was an hidden gem a couple years ago. Now it just seems like an overpriced cottage course resting on its glory days. Course conditions were sub par at best. Problem is that a lot of golfers refuse to take care of the course the way it should be which means fixing pitch marks on greens and raking bunkers. Figure the course marshal who seemed to just drive around could possibly look at greens as he was driving past and fix some ball marks and possibly rake some of the mess up in the bunkers. Too bad because this was a great value course a couple years ago. Good luck!!!

It was a particularly busy day which probably contributed to some of the issues if some fellow golfers weren't as considerate with their course etiquette. Still some great value however especially late in the day in our twilight tee times. Hope to see you out at the course again soon.
