Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club
About
Carved from 200 acres of mature forest along the Holland River just 40 minutes from downtown Toronto, Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club provides a scenic round reminiscent of those found in either Florida or the Carolinas. Neighbored by native wetlands, the golf course features water hazards on 12 holes. There are also treacherous, well placed bunkers coming into play on every hole. The par-3 third hole is notably challenging, in addition to being flanked by bunkers, it also requires a carry over a pond. Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club also features a unique seven-acre aqua driving range as well as three chipping and putting greens.

Nice course
It's a nice course to play! Better hit it straight off the tee, or you'll be in the woods all day! It's challenging from the back tee. Aware of the pin location, it makes a different. Highly recommended!!
Fun course layout
Got in a quick round in fall weather. Greens were still rolling true, with several tricky pin position. Overall it was a great experience and would definitely return to play again if the price is right.
SLOW!
First off...Service was IMPECCABLE! Friendly and VERY HELPFUL staff. Prob some of the best I've encountered.
What hurt was the pace of play..waited every hole about 5 mins...seemed like too many tee times were booked close together on Weekend.
Tight course and challenging, greens were very good and balled rolled perfect.
Not many holes that we got excited about though.
Probably $20-$40 too much to play.
In my opinion...should be a $60 course max with $70 with cart MAX! taxes in.
very nice place to play.
The course conditions are very good, all around the 18 holes eara are very quiet. enjoyed the whole afternoon to play here.
Beautiful golf course
Very beautiful course with a lot of water and Carolina style woods. The greens are small and undulating. The maintenance is excellent. The service was not good, this also happened the previous time I played here.
good course for a short play
Very enjoyable to play when the pace is steady. Rewarded if you drive well on the tee. Green is pretty levelled and not much up and down.Sand play is relatively easy to get out of trouble. Marshall is kind enough to offer repellant for mosquitos cos of humidity around the course.
Lady will enjoy as well.
Beautiful Course with Challenging Greens
We are vacationing in Toronto and chose this course through Golf Now. We really enjoyed the course. The clubhouse was nice. The food cart came by frequently. It was a challenging course on a beautiful day.
August 18th foursome
Silver lakes was in great shape if not a touch wet. This is a great course. Really challenging holes that force you to be accurate, but you can score if you are. No cheap gimmick holes. Good value through GolfNow
Swing to the beat!
First time I have ever encountered a golfer audibly playing music while golfing. Not surprising since his entire foursome was drinking heavily and became very boisterous. The marshal helped us play through but the music continued uninterrupted in his presence. Members appear to do whatever they please here just as long as they keep buying beer. Otherwise this is a well-maintained course. It is very flat with the trees lining the fairway and water on a few holes posing the most significant challenge. Sand traps were in good shape with uniform sand depth however greens were wooly. Layout got a little repetitious as we progressed through the round.
Beautiful Course
It's well maintained course in a beautiful setting. The staff was courteous.
Beautifully manicured course close to GTA
The course overall is in great shape and the scenery is beautiful and you progress through the holes. The tees are mowed nicely. Greenskeepers edge the grass around the sand bunkers, and keep the sand raked smooth. Greens are fertilized for color and health. A must to play and keep on the list.
Golf at it's best, just an hour from the GTA.
Silver Lakes which is only a short drive from the G.T.A. is a great layout that will challenge most that are fortunate enough to play it. Tight tree-lined fairways with both water and sand spotted through out lead to some of the toughest undulating and very well- maintained greens I have played on this year in Ontario. Silver Lakes should challenge all but the lowest of handicaps and afford you the opportunity to use all the clubs in your bag and if you don't keep it straight maybe a few of your balls too.
good walking course
reminds me of South Carolina. Beautiful wi great sand and no alligators. Watch out for poison Ivy - lots in the bushes!
great day on a wet course
We arrived early and asked for an early start. The staff members were friendly and told us we could start right away. The course was still wet from an earlier rainfall that day, but I enjoyed the course and will play it again on a nicer day.
First time at Silver Lakes
Glad we found this course not far from our home in Aurora. Played the course after a very nasty rain storm and experienced lots of casual water. The fairways were in super shape as were the greens. Fairly mature course, so if you stray from the fairway, you could be in trouble. Good value for the money. Be sure to bring some bug spray. The front was a bit buggy. One of the marshals gave us some spray about the 5th hole.. that was very welcomed.
Great overall value!
Perfect Day
We had a fantastic day at Silver Lakes. From the Bag Drop till the cart our expectations were met and exceeded.
Fantastic Fairway
The course is challenging and fair way is very
soft. So it is good for waking and playing
Enjoyable Course
The course is a hidden gem. It's out-of- the-way location means that it is not crowded. Course is in great shape. While flat the course offers many other challenges. Bring your straight sticks
very good layout course
everything is good but too much bugs so you bring
bug spray with you
Carolina appeal!
Always look forward coming back to Silver Lakes. It provides the Carolina's memories. Truly is one of the many gems within the GTA! If you've never played it, I would highly recommend it!
