Running alongside the Niagara River, Legends on the Niagara offers two championship courses, a nine-hole course, and a unique 18-hole putting course, all of which boast impressive scenery and breathtaking views. The nine-hole Chippawa Course is named after the legendary Battle of Chippawa which took place during the War of 1812 on what is now the facility's location. The enjoyable layout can be easily walked, making it ideal for beginners or players interested in a quick, challenging round. The Chippawa has garnered a reputation as being the best short course in the country. For even more practice, Legends on the Niagara offer extensive training facilities including a 45-acre driving range, putting greens, and a short game area with bunker.

The course was good, the service was GARBAGE!!!!
The course conditions were fine, I've golfed here a few times before. Never had any real expectations so I've never really been disappointed with this course until my last round. I booked a tee time for 3 adults and 1 junior player on May 29th of this year. The fee was suppose to include a buy one adult green fee get one junior green fee free, with a $5 food voucher for the pub PER paid adult ( kids 12 and under eat free). At the counter when paying for the round the gentleman behind the counter made no mention of the food vouchers, didn't even ask if I wanted any food or beverages for the round ( there was NO food and beverage cart on the course that - the Last day of a long weekend!!), when I asked if there were any carts available he seemed put out that he actually had to go and check for them! There was only one cart available so half of my party had to walk - again the gentleman behind the counter didn't even suggest renting pull/push carts for the other two golfers, and after payi g for the one cart he left the "clubhouse" , locked the door and left to do what I can only hope was other necessary work because I couldn't even go back in and get a score card or thing else I may have wanted to purchase! All in all it was a BAD experience!! The course was fine, the service was GARBAGE!!!!!
Great 9 hole design!
Well designed, varied layout. Very cooperative and helpful staff. A fun and challenging 1 1/2 hour game walking.

Best Niagara nine hole course
Fun course in great shape and design. Played 18 holes in 2 hours and15 minutes after work in the fall. Not crazy but not too easy especially off the blue tees. Impressive was two flags on every green and the red ones have a larger hole that makes this course good for both experienced golfers and beginners or high handicaps. All the Niagara Legends courses are great highly recommend them all.

Fine course nice varity of holes, fairways were wet but playable
Very challenging for just 2100 yards. Fun to play.
This is the best 9 hole course we have ever played. It is challenging and fun at the same time. The course is kept in great condition and it is the best value for the money.

I loved my visit to Chippawa. The staff was friendly, the price with golfnow was great, and the course was challenging and well cared for. It was a little wet but that was Mother Nature's fault. I definitely will be back.

Great for a practice round and fairly priced
Pace of play is great and the course is in good shape. Great course for kids and beginners.
This course is perfect for a quick round
The Chippawa course provides a strong enough challenge for being so short- the hazards make it really easy to lose balls. However, the greens weren't too fast and the fairways were nicely kept.
It rained heavily the night before we played and the course called asking if we wanted a raincheck because the power carts would not go out. We showed up anyways and they offered us free hand carts- I thought that was awesome.
The course is predominantly par 3s (although they weren't easy) and it's perfect for a quick 9 after work. This was the first time I played this course but it won't be the last.

Beautiful and great fun...
I started playing with a light fog covering the ground and could only see the top of the flags, a rare picture. It was great. The fairway and green was nicely maintained and the staff cordial.
A definite go for a nice 9 hole morning.
Sandtraps need attention.
Great executive challenging course. If the sandtraps were maintained it would invite "better" quality golfers to challenge themselves to hone their short game. Sandtraps need the weeds, crab grass removed, sides (lip of bunkers) trimmed/restored, sand removed or at least refilled (Ohio white would be good).
Great maintained course for practicing irons
This is a short 9 hole course, well maintained and great for practicing your irons. Par 3 and 4's with nothing too serious.

Wonderful course for a quick nine. It is beginner friendly. The fairways and greens are very well kept, but the bunkers are in need of some attention.

If you have a couple of hours for a quick round, this is great.
Great Value
The course is well maintained. Blue Tees provide challenge to experienced golfers, while Red Tees take some of the hazards out of play for the less experienced golfers. Great 9 Hole couples course.

this is a hidden gem. Niagara parks does a wonderful job taking care of this course. Good 9 with friends,girlfriend or wife,etc. Will be back again.
Excellent executive
Had a great time , the only issue we had was the bunkers were not kept well .. But a great executive course none the less . Will definitely play it again
Great course to practice you short game.
They have kept up the course and it's playing great this year. The par 4's are a good size for you to get out your driver and really get it down there.
Great 9 hole exec course
good value for the money and fairways were pretty dry considering the recent rains. Staff very friendly. Would play again.
