About
Willodell Golf Club of Niagara is neighbored by Lyon Creek to one side and Tee Creek to the other. The championship layout sprawls across rolling hills covered with mature trees, which border the undulating fairways. Several ponds and two creeks come into play on 10 holes. There are numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with in addition to the water hazards. The layout features a mix of driving holes, strategic holes, and some tough par 3s. Being so diverse, the golf course appeals to a range of different skill levels and tastes. The fifth hole is Willodell Golf Club's most difficult par 3 with trees right and left and a frontal bunker that forces a full carry to the green, which is also bunkered on both sides with grassy lateral hazards that sit beyond the sand.

Cut Your Rough!
They need to cut the rough, it was extremely difficult to find our balls. (I know, just hit it in the fairway...easier said than done!)
GREAT COURSE
I play this course 4-6 times a year. It is ALWAYS in great shape! Unbelievable weather through October and my day was excellent! I got it for $31.00 with cart - GREAT DEAL -. Fairways were very nice and velvety, greens were in good shape (aeration had taken place so sandy overlayer but slow but decent. Great course for a really good price!
A fall day at willodell
Been here several times in past year and enjoy the corse and layout
We had been informed the greens had been aerated the beginning of the week and were not too bumpy. Issue was they had been heavily dressed and with heavy rain the night before the sand clumped on the balls and made putting very difficult and slow.
Rough was long and course in general very soft so it must have really poured overnight.
However course staff was friendly as always and played with a very nice local couple so while the quality of golf was a bit taxed it was still a good outing
Always Something
Willodell always has something that makes you not really enjoy your day. For starters we where charged more than what it said on GolfNow. We questioned it and were told these where the fees that we had to pay. This has NEVER happened anywhere else. Frost delay so they where 45minutes behind so they push you around the course! Since there was a delay they could have dressed the bunkers and maybe rolled the greens. The cart girl and Marshalls need to learn some golf etiquette. Keeping the noise down when a player is right there and trying to play would be great! All in all Willodell is OK but nothing great. Greens don't hold and are ok for speed. They try to market themselves as a 9 out of 10 but they struggle to be a 7.
Duck and cover
The design of the course is awful, every hole is separated by a few tiny trees we had at least 10 times had balls just miss our group by less than 5 feet. A bachelor party was on the course playing as two sixsomes slowing everyone down. The staff was fantastic the starter pro shop and cart girl we're all very nice. I just really disliked the course itself it was boring and honestly a little dangerous. Wouldn't recommend to others

Decent course for the price
The greens were nice, the course seemed well maintained. There was no beer cart, a worker called in sick and they didn't replace her. Friendly bartender.
Small greens, interesting undulations
Challenging approach shots with changes in elevation adding to the small greens to make accuracy a premium. Nice enough course in the end.
Great course in Niagara
Always has fairways and greens in great shape. All of the staff from the servers/cart girls, the starters, to event planners are great people. Memberships are great prices if you are local.
A great Friday afternoon
Booked the day before on GolfNow. All of the staff (Marc in pro-shop, Tom the Marshall, the beer cart lady) were excellent.
The course was in nice shape and pace of play was excellent.
We will be back.
Great Golf Course -
They accomodated us even though we were early driving in from the East. Fast check in and out. A starter and Marshall that was great to see there was a controlled pace even though they were booked solid.Immaculate grounds and greens. Lovely area near our hotel and Casino. Perfect day for golfing. would have been a better if I had broken 100.00
