About
Thundering Waters Golf Club, so named for its proximity to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, has a unique layout that combines a parkland course with the tricky elements of a heathland golf course. There is an interesting combination of drivable par 4s and scenic par 3s that will provide a formidable test for even the most skilled players. The golf course first winds through heavily wooded patches and then finds its way to rugged hills dotted with thick fescue where true links-style holes with deep bunkers and large, undulating greens await you. The layout also features several doglegs and more than 100 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes. Thundering Waters Golf Club was Canada's first John Daly signature golf course.

Great value friendly staff
Played here today what an awesome deal for this course. I might be booking again in the next couple of weeks. Great and fairways in Great condition.
Not Good
Course was a big disappointment. May have been good course when John Daly designed it, but with the changes since, it is not good. The sand traps are messy clay pits, full of weeds and rocks. Some of the holes, starting with the first one make no sense anymore.
Tees, fairways and greens were nice. We were not too surprised that no maintenance has been done to most of the sandtraps. Found out at end of round that we should have pulled ball from traps and placed onto grass.
Bunkers have been neglected
Course layout is great and challenging. Bunkers looked horrible and were mostly unplayable!
Tee markers not place backed on tee after tees were cut on 3 holes.
Maintenance staff continued to cut grass while we were teeing off!
Pace of play was excellent even having to wait on most holes played in 4 hours.
Great Course
Great course and a true shot making course.
Plan your shots and you can score well.
Worst bunkers I have ever seen in my life…very poorly maintained.
Not being taken care of
No taking care of bunkers. Not even any sand in most bunkers. Grass growing in bunkers. Slow group in front. Marshall said he told them to get a move on but it seemed like they just got slower at that point.
A must play
Course condition was in great shape.
Staff were very friendly.

Challenging Course
Played here several times. Condition of the course was great with all the rain this year. The reason I give only 3 stars is there are many sand traps guarding greens and fairways, every one is terrible! I remember playing this course and the sand traps were impeccably kept. It doesn't make sense that a course like this would neglect the sand traps, it's very frustrating.
Incredible Hot Deal
Very well maintained course and challenging and beautiful layout. The Hot Deal on GolfNow was fantastic but this course would be worth full price.
