Thundering Waters Golf Club
About
Thundering Waters Golf Club, so named for its proximity to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, has a unique layout that combines a parkland course with the tricky elements of a heathland golf course. There is an interesting combination of drivable par 4s and scenic par 3s that will provide a formidable test for even the most skilled players. The golf course first winds through heavily wooded patches and then finds its way to rugged hills dotted with thick fescue where true links-style holes with deep bunkers and large, undulating greens await you. The layout also features several doglegs and more than 100 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes. Thundering Waters Golf Club was Canada's first John Daly signature golf course.

A must play
Course condition was in great shape.
Staff were very friendly.
A must play when in Niagara...
Challenging Course
Played here several times. Condition of the course was great with all the rain this year. The reason I give only 3 stars is there are many sand traps guarding greens and fairways, every one is terrible! I remember playing this course and the sand traps were impeccably kept. It doesn't make sense that a course like this would neglect the sand traps, it's very frustrating.
Incredible Hot Deal
Very well maintained course and challenging and beautiful layout. The Hot Deal on GolfNow was fantastic but this course would be worth full price.
Good Times!
Beautiful course, perfect weather, great company; too bad I shot 101!
1st time thundering waters
nice to play with members that knew the history and that it is a shortened course. it was cart path only due to wet conditions day before (made sense) - the worse part was really seeing where the bunkers were not maintained at all - understand course is sold so owners not going above and beyond to make the course look like in the photos - that being said - staff was nice - nice vibe with "Daly" effect - and will try to play again when possible - could tell this could have been a premier course. still very nice tho.
Fun round
Together with Rick and Butch we had fun round. Lots of jokes and good shots. As usual there were holes that score was not was I invision to be, shocking high. Fun ride from hole to hole in the tunnel
Long cart drive
Yes, the first thing comes to my mind is cool long cart rides. The course feels premium. Nice greens and other obstructions on course make it entertaining to play. Enjoy
Good Times!
A friend and I played 18 holes at TW this past Friday; we were paired with a nice couple, village residents. Everything was awesome except our scores but who cares when the weather is perfect and you're having fun! Look forward to playing TW again.
It’s been let go.
Novelty layout with mostly blind tee boxes, long rides between holes and very sloping greens makes for backlogs. There was no sand in any bunkers, not bad sand, I mean the bunkers were cracked up mud and dirt that resembled a construction site more than a golf course and none were marked ground under repair. Fairways and greens were in good condition though. Booked as a foursome but our fourth cancelled so they sent a single with us but wouldn’t refund the one extra green fee. It’s clear they are hurting for money. Would have been a good value at $45 but wouldn’t pay full rate.
First visit
First visit to Thundering Waters. I loved the course. Each hole had its own specific challenges. Course was well maintained. Thank you for an enjoyable game
Judge the course not the condos
Coarse has changed over the years and so has its surroundings. Look past the development and remind yourself why you came to Thundering Waters. Great value premium golf. Hole#1 is obviously a butcher job to make way for development but aside from that ... its a great golf experience for the price.
