Thundering Waters Golf Club
About
Thundering Waters Golf Club, so named for its proximity to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, has a unique layout that combines a parkland course with the tricky elements of a heathland golf course. There is an interesting combination of drivable par 4s and scenic par 3s that will provide a formidable test for even the most skilled players. The golf course first winds through heavily wooded patches and then finds its way to rugged hills dotted with thick fescue where true links-style holes with deep bunkers and large, undulating greens await you. The layout also features several doglegs and more than 100 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes. Thundering Waters Golf Club was Canada's first John Daly signature golf course.

Good value
Good value, great course in good condition.
Friendly staff!
disappointed
used to love this course. in the last few years i t has gone downhill. the bunkers are horrible. the overall maintenance is bad. not the course it used to be. why drive an hour to play there. I can play courses closer to home for the same value.
Finally
I noticed that they fixed one trap. Only a 100 or so to go. Everything else in very good shape.
Too Wet to Play
The course was extremely wet and really should have been closed for the day. Tee boxes were soaked and there was no traction even with spikes. The damage that was done to them because of today's conditions was terrible. Fairways were so wet that you were sprayed with mud. Not a good experience and management should have made the decision to close the course for the day to dry out.
Great day
Looks so nice in the fall, had a wonderful day and love this course! Risk/reward options is so much fun
Always wet
I truly enjoy playing this course. It is a favourite of mine. The layout suits my game too.
It is always soaking wet. Bunkers are unplayable due to lack of maintenance ( weeds etc). Tee boxes are also a bit pathetic.
Decent course for the money
First time playing this course.
Weather was absolutely perfect. Sunny and 17 degrees at 8 am.
Second couple to tee off. Poked around a few times for lost balls but completed the course in under three and a half hours.
Tee boxes were not mown and were in progress when we made our way through.
Fairways were in really nice condition.
Greens were excellent. Rolled true and fast once the dew burned off.
As mentioned in other reviews the bunkers are unplayable unless your are in a flat spot. They have basically been abandoned.
Fast electric carts. Like those…
Homes in the area are not in play as others have eluded to. They are set back a long way.
Lovely lady at check in. Friendly staff.
We played for $50 all in CDN.
I would do it again at that price.
Fun day.
Ok
Like other reviews have said, the bunkers are in terrible shape. The course doesn't drain well and is very wet. Layout since all the development has shortened the course significantly. Tee boxes need some work as well. If you can get a good deal, it's worth it but don't spend more than $50 on this course.
Wet otherwise good
Had to stick to cart path only with all the recent rainfall… course was wet in the low spots but usually is there.
What a joke
Had i known in advance i would not of wasted my money. Bunkers were atrocious, basically resembled land fills.. Greens, I will give a decent rating although they had a superintendents revenge with all these gimmicky objects on the greens making it glorified mini putt. Worst golf experience ever.
Garbage course conditions
This is my 1st review ever. This course is nice and love the layout but maybe pay some of the stqff to clean up the beer cans in the bushes at the tee box?? Also get some staff to repair the ball marks on every single green?? Ok cool. Mickey mouse operation
