Thundering Waters Golf Club
About
Thundering Waters Golf Club, so named for its proximity to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, has a unique layout that combines a parkland course with the tricky elements of a heathland golf course. There is an interesting combination of drivable par 4s and scenic par 3s that will provide a formidable test for even the most skilled players. The golf course first winds through heavily wooded patches and then finds its way to rugged hills dotted with thick fescue where true links-style holes with deep bunkers and large, undulating greens await you. The layout also features several doglegs and more than 100 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes. Thundering Waters Golf Club was Canada's first John Daly signature golf course.

Great test for accuracy
Target golf at its best. Makes you think about where you want to hit it and how you want to hit it. Great staff. The guys at check in were friendly and gave great advice. Would go back for sure. Thank God for lift from the bunkers because there’s a lot of them and you can’t avoid some. Fun day all around.
I love playing here! Challenging holes, & course is always well maintained. Some bunkers werent the best when I was there but at least I didnt visit much! Will definitely be coming back to this course, only thing is when I played the older gentleman in charge of carts was a bit rude before & after the round. Again though, great course & will be back before the golf year is done!
Great round of golf
We totally enjoyed our round of golf. The course was challenging and in great shape. The staff was friendly. And we did our round in 4 hours. We will definitely be back.
Me
First time playing this course and it is awesome!! I love it. Thank you to all the staff!!
Challenging
the course is wonderful to play, fairways and greens offer a nice challenge to my level of play.
already committed to play again next year, can't wait.
Great Track
It was a pleasure to play this course! It was early in the morning and the course was manicured perfectly!
It has some very challenging holes and some easier short ones. Friendly staff and really enjoyed this day! Thanks!!!
5 hour round....
With 8 minutes between tee times it makes for a 5 hour round. At one point we had 4 different foursomes on the 5th hole. One group was late so the put them ahead of us who showed up 30 minutes before out tee time. The group in front of us teed off from the GOLDS and barely hit it passed the women's reds. We had a poor 2some behind us but no point in letting them through when we were waiting for 1 and 2 groups in front of us.
Too challenging
Just being honest, it’s what you want. I’d never play here again. Far too challenging for our level of play. Loved the carpet-like fairways. Absolutely gorgeous course.
None of my friends are at this level of play, therefore I would not recommend.
Fun play at Thundering water
Played Tuesday morning, greens were nice some fairways were some due to rain, hit a nice drive but couldn’t find the plugged ball, not the courses fault, would recommend and go back again,
good value and nice course
Found the course to be challenging because of the way the terrain was used to protect greens. Ccould be fooled into thinking that the hole is driveable but it is not . good golf course management is rewarded as I was reminded by one of my playing partners after wasting a shot or two. .Recent rains made the fairways soft and balls would plug rather than run. Tee boxes as previously mentioned were well used but not so that it was bothersome. Would go back again.
Decent one time play
Was bummed with the conditions (very wet and the tee boxes and bunkers were suffering). The design was good enough I felt good about going but I think I'll choose another course next time I'm here.
