Thundering Waters Golf Club

About
Thundering Waters Golf Club, so named for its proximity to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, has a unique layout that combines a parkland course with the tricky elements of a heathland golf course. There is an interesting combination of drivable par 4s and scenic par 3s that will provide a formidable test for even the most skilled players. The golf course first winds through heavily wooded patches and then finds its way to rugged hills dotted with thick fescue where true links-style holes with deep bunkers and large, undulating greens await you. The layout also features several doglegs and more than 100 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes. Thundering Waters Golf Club was Canada's first John Daly signature golf course.

Nice Course
Tees, fairway and greens in good shape but what’s up with the traps. No sand in the traps and some even had 2 feet tall weeds. Clean up the sand traps and definitely a 5/5 course
More than perfect
One of most perfect, accurate course performance required. Black or Blue tee is recommended for the advanced.
Tough
Enjoyed playing the course and would play it agai! Staff was great......super helpfull.
I would not recommend to anyone, to walk
this course and it is not for a beginner , unless you want to throw your clubs in the water! Bunkers are very deep and can be Challenging if you end up in too many of them! For this time of the year the course was in very good condition.
Bunkers
Garbage years past when the course opened up, it was beautiful, white sand, and a pleasure to play out of now it’s just overgrown with weeds and garbage sand from Lake Ontario Beach probably unfortunately that will turn off a few golfers from playing there again
Tee boxes were terrible, no grass just muddy
Liked the course layout, but the lack of maintenance throughout that course is starting show a lot wear n tear .
The Terminator
course was in overall great condition. Greens and fairways were great. Friendly staff. Great deal. I’ll be back…😎⛳️🏌️♂️
Always fun
Thundering waters is a great course to play. Minus the unplayable sand traps, great trek. Not sure how they can get away with having twilight prices be the same as regular price. Makes no sense….best value would be a hot price from golf now.
Always a pleasure to play Thundering Waters
Course layout is excellent, and the course is in
Great condition. Sand traps are a problem
As they always have been.
Staff and pace of play is great.
Will return.
Great palying course for a 12 handicap
The course was in good shape, the sand traps were nonresistant. To much rain washed the sand away. Would have a lot more difficult with the sand traps up and working.
wendel clark day
great course, HOWEVER.............how is it possible to have a course of that standard with perhaps the worst most unplayable sand in the bunkers?, unmaintained bunkers hard as a rock and weeds growing in them
