About
Thundering Waters Golf Club, so named for its proximity to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, has a unique layout that combines a parkland course with the tricky elements of a heathland golf course. There is an interesting combination of drivable par 4s and scenic par 3s that will provide a formidable test for even the most skilled players. The golf course first winds through heavily wooded patches and then finds its way to rugged hills dotted with thick fescue where true links-style holes with deep bunkers and large, undulating greens await you. The layout also features several doglegs and more than 100 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes. Thundering Waters Golf Club was Canada's first John Daly signature golf course.

Golf at its best.
Love this layout for any golfers .will enjoy it if they take the chance s for a risk and reward enjoy.
Bunkers are unplayable
It’s a nice course with a lot of potential, quite a few tees were in rough shape and the bunkers require maintenance.
Would have given it a 5 star if bunkers were in play.
Nice course, challenging but play from the proper tees and it is very enjoyable.
Great layout
I haven't been to this course in a while and it's still a nice layout but the sand traps are the worse. You can't even hit out of them! The guys that we played with said that the members don't hit out of them and just take a drop. Sad to see. We still had a great time and the staff was awesome! Ty
Fun course
This is a very short course, but the variety in the holes and the ability to score make it a really fun course for target golf.
Bunkers are currently being worked on to improve drainage, and the course definitely gets very wet in places, but otherwise, it’s in great shape.
Yearly visit
We try to get down to Niagara and play this course once a year. This year some of the conditions were surprising. The starter was very friendly. Inside staff were also welcoming. Carts are still in good shape. Some of the tees (especially the par 3's) had very little grass anywhere and did not look like they were trying to fix them. Most of the sand traps were awful. They looked like they were all under repair. We just took our ball out to the nearest grass. Fairways were good, except it looked like many players are too good to replace or repair their divots and greens were medium fast and true, but again too many players not fixing their ball marks. Definitely not the course's fault. We'll come back again next year and see if there's any improvement.
Decent Course
It's been a while since I played this course and the conditions were great except the sand traps. What a joke, they were in terrible condition. Hardly any sand and not well kept. The problem is that they have a ton of sand traps and if you're not going to take care of them, why have them?
We still enjoyed our round and the staff was very friendly and accommodating!

Great value
Course was in very good condition with the exception of a couple of tee blocks that were way overused.
Greens were in good condition and rolled true. Fun layout.
