Thundering Waters Golf Club
About
Thundering Waters Golf Club, so named for its proximity to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, has a unique layout that combines a parkland course with the tricky elements of a heathland golf course. There is an interesting combination of drivable par 4s and scenic par 3s that will provide a formidable test for even the most skilled players. The golf course first winds through heavily wooded patches and then finds its way to rugged hills dotted with thick fescue where true links-style holes with deep bunkers and large, undulating greens await you. The layout also features several doglegs and more than 100 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes. Thundering Waters Golf Club was Canada's first John Daly signature golf course.

Always fun
Thundering waters is a great course to play. Minus the unplayable sand traps, great trek. Not sure how they can get away with having twilight prices be the same as regular price. Makes no sense….best value would be a hot price from golf now.
Always a pleasure to play Thundering Waters
Course layout is excellent, and the course is in
Great condition. Sand traps are a problem
As they always have been.
Staff and pace of play is great.
Will return.
Great palying course for a 12 handicap
The course was in good shape, the sand traps were nonresistant. To much rain washed the sand away. Would have a lot more difficult with the sand traps up and working.
wendel clark day
great course, HOWEVER.............how is it possible to have a course of that standard with perhaps the worst most unplayable sand in the bunkers?, unmaintained bunkers hard as a rock and weeds growing in them
Needs maintenance
Fairways were in nice shape. Beyond that, this course needs a lot of attention. I’ve never seen bunkers that bad. I mean absolutely horrible. Putting was tough to miss all the old holes and many tees had little grass. Staff was very friendly. Maybe because they are embarrassed. Won’t go back. Too many other courses to choose from in the area with better conditions.
Thundering waters meh!
So with cart it's around $ 80 canadian which seem average except for the fact that the bunkers are not maintained whatsoever and the tee boxes are very rough. Nobody fixes their ball marks on the green which us normal but when you get in a bunker , they have 10% sand and 90 % hard clay , they are so bad that the drainage pipes are exposed. Course was great years ago but now I can't see anyone paying for a membership there sorry folks , and I loved that track
Great course. Weather was crappy
The course is very good and very challenging. We played through rain and had to stop for 20 minutes because of lightning. The pace was excellent due to the weather. For the amount of rain the drainage was very good. A couple of greens had a little pooling but overall was great. Will definitely play again.
Great layout and from the right tees, very enjoyable.
Some of the bunkers are still out of play but overall very nice track. Play from the right tees and it is very enjoyable.
Golf at its best.
Love this layout for any golfers .will enjoy it if they take the chance s for a risk and reward enjoy.
Bunkers are unplayable
It’s a nice course with a lot of potential, quite a few tees were in rough shape and the bunkers require maintenance.
Would have given it a 5 star if bunkers were in play.
Nice course, challenging but play from the proper tees and it is very enjoyable.
Great layout
I haven't been to this course in a while and it's still a nice layout but the sand traps are the worse. You can't even hit out of them! The guys that we played with said that the members don't hit out of them and just take a drop. Sad to see. We still had a great time and the staff was awesome! Ty
